Well it’s very interesting what happens if it suddenly gets its wish.
“This will FINALLY be the reason true conservatives will have to vote for him.”
I like your optimism. I do wish I shared it. I suspect even this would not give the “pure” conservatives enough reason to vote for him.
Clearly a concept that is beyond the grasp of understanding for Trumpy...
Both are guilty, the person who does the abortion and the woman who goes willingly to have a abortion.
Its not like they are forced into abortion and if they are that’s another story.
I take this as if abortion is outlawed, and the woman murders her child anyway, she should be punished.
This is an attention grabbing piece of junk.
Breathtaking, isn’t it?
I can understand skepticism. The article paints the quotes in a poor light, as I would expect it to considering it is the media reporting such. However, Trump is right as it is common sense. Illegal actions result in punishment. If abortion is declared illegal, than those who willing seek one and/or perform one should be punished. The nature of the punishment would have to be discussed and determined as suggested by Trump.
Like one person pointed out here, if a drunk driver kills a pregnant woman he is charged for the murder of the baby.
So why the double standard? How can you be pro life and say its okay for women to have abortions ? You cant, end of story
Maybe the theory back then was the woman wasn't capable of making that kind of decision, so she was treated the same way children are when they break the law. Now that feminism has promoted the novel theory that women are responsible adults they can't use that dodge to escape punishment if they decide to kill their babies.
Just to be clear - you said that a mother who murders her child is a victim.
You can boast about your track record all you want - but that is one of the most blatantly pro- abortion remarks I’ve seen in a long time.
“The mother is a victim”.
At some point society got wise enough not to prosecute attempted suicides (which even the bible doesn’t seek to prosecute in Old Testament law).
Funny what happens when entrenched positions that were hypothetical (so all the chesty thumping in the world could happen without any real push back) suddenly became introduced to the potential of reality.
You’d think there was a break out at the local mental asylum.
It was a hypothetical not based on today’s reality. Abortion should be outlawed, but it is not at this moment. The question went beyond abortion and became “punishing women”.
Yes, it was a trap, and Trump responded in a way that will not help him.
I can see the pundits writing headlines tomorrow: Trump Wants to Punish Women.
“Women should be charged with a crime if they engage in illegal activity? REALLY? OMG!!!! CALL OUT THE CALVARY!!!!”
Ask Hillary.
Donald, I Love Ya.
But before you can Make America Great Again, you have to be elected.
Learn to keep your mouth shut!
If a woman willing went to have an abortion she is just as responsible.
All you care to do is to classify things along a narrow one dimensional continuum.
In what is manifestly a many dimensional reality, your approach earns an F-.
I don’t know.
What is Cruz’s stance on abortion?
The RNC is going to have a conniption over this. Part of their stanglehold on power is painting each candidate individually in their state or district so they can hide.
I would like Trump to do the same for guns. Stand up and be counted. Where do you stand?
Fair questions. Let the voters decide what the party is going to look like.
You know what, This is true sexism to think that woman are so mentally incompetent they dont even know what they are doing when they choice to have abortion
10th Amendment? How can you jump from the topic to the 10th Amendment?
Just because you lost the argument is no reason to start a new and different argument. (That you would also lose.)
