Trump Campaign Senior Policy Advisor Stephen Miller addressed Friday why immigration and trade are key issues in the Republican frontrunners campaign.
Well, there is very little right about our trade deals, there is virtually nothing right about our trade deals. Weve been getting taken to the cleaners by every country we trade with. We have a trade deficit with almost all of our major trading partners. If you look at, for instance, say Japan, and our car trading deficit, or you look at China, where we have hundreds of billions of dollars in trade deficits, so our entire trade policy needs to be retooled, Miller told the FOX Business Networks Maria Bartiromo.
Miller then weighed in on some of the changes the Donald would make if elected president and how his plan differs from that of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
One major change we have to make, is to stop foreign currency cheating, the devaluation of foreign currencies to put American companies out of business. And that is a big difference in this race. Ted Cruz has voted consistently to protect China and protect Chinas ability to devalue their currency. Donald Trump has pledged to crack down on currency. So a vote for Ted Cruz really is a vote to offshore American jobs to China. said Miller.

Bump
Nobody quantitatively eases like the Fed does.
Has Trump found an American manufacturer for his Chinese-made clothing line yet?
Trump is going to win in landslide because 75% of the USA, i.e. the middle class, has no political representation. Nobody speaks for them, not the Feds, not congress, not the MSM or free trading fat talk show hosts.
Cruz will have to pay back Goldman Sachs somehow. The Trade America crowd will be happy.
A vote for Trump is a vote for higher prices at every store, a vote for socialized medicine, and a vote for taking land from private citizens for another private citizen’s benefit via eminent domain.
Cruz did pay Goldman Sachs back. His loans (against his own assets by the way) have already been paid back.
Maybe that is true, but the fact is that a vote for Kasich or cruz is a vote for the establishment which wants their contested convention .
There was a time when cruz ran against the convention and I and others were proud to say I want cruz because he is against the establishment.
Seems cruz is just another sleazy lawyer who will say or do anything.
Remember this when his campaign was not failing like now.
Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you.

A vote for Cruz.... Is worthless.
How clever. Textiles are an outlier in the manufacturing industry.. I wish who ever ran his clothing line would have made a better decision. Trump is wrong on that.
But I am sure his tariffs are going to cover textiles too.
So I should support a guy that wants to impoverish me by increasing H-1B visas by 500%? A guy who's wife is the poster child of the NWO Free Trade debacle? OTH should I support a guy that imports Chinese clothes for niche market but understand the gloBULLization debate and what it is doing? Hmmm, the choice is clear.
Riiiiight and offshoring lowers prices? Did Nabisco, Ford and Carrier announce price reductions? No. LOL. What a rube you are. A tool.
Both parties have been selling out America now for over one entire generation.
Both parties.
Democrats are for the exporting of American jobs, because whenever America loses jobs, it helps democrats gain power.
Republicans are for the exporting of American jobs, because whenever America loses jobs, it doesn’t mean a thing to them, then just export the stuff to sell.
There is an entire huge segment of America who NOBODY is looking out for. Nobody.
Except now, this year. Trump has said he would. I have been waiting for YEARS to hear someone, anyone say the things which Trump is saying.
I cannot swear he is telling the truth, but nobody else is saying what he is saying, and he sure sounds like he means it.
Trump for President.
For real.
Sorry one correction.
Republicans import the stuff which used to be made in America.
Import.
Sorry about the goof. :D
The Tariff(1924 Republican Platform)
We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.
In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.
The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.
The enormous value of the protective principle has once more been demonstrated by the emergency tariff act of 1921 and the tariff act of 1922.
We assert our belief in the elastic provision adopted by congress in the tariff act of 1922 providing for a method of readjusting the tariff rates and the classifications in order to meet changing economic conditions when such changed conditions are brought to the attention of the president by complaint or application.
We believe that the power to increase or decrease any rate of duty provided in the tariff furnishes a safeguard on the one hand against excessive taxes and on the other hand against too high customs charges.
The wise provisions of this section of the tariff act afford ample opportunity for tariff duties to be adjusted after a hearing in order that they may cover the actual differences in the cost of production in the United States and the principal competing countries of the world.
We also believe that the application of this provision of the tariff act will contribute to business stability by making unnecessary general disturbances which are usually incident to general tariff revisions.
GS has now provided Cruz a favor, now he owes them a favor.
I wonder who will ultimately be paying Donald back for the money he LOANED his campaign.
Voting for Trump is SHOWING what we want. In the future we will battle on delivery. For now just get him elected is paramount.
