Ted Cruz has been accused of having at least five mistresses, including CNN anchor and former Cruz employee Amanda Carpenter. The media claims Cruz has denied these accusations.
Cruz is lying, according to multiple trial lawyers and experts on persuasion. His lies are hard to spot, because his lies are also truthful.
Consider what Cruz said in response to the news story:
“Let me be clear this National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies. It is a tabloid smear and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”
Let’s look at what Cruz did not say. Cruz could have said, “I have never cheated on my wife.” Why didn’t he?
Consider the oath witnesses take before testifying. “I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Isn’t that redundant?
Ted Cruz is accused of having had an affair with five women. He could say, “That’s a lie. I did not have five mistresses.” If Cruz did have one mistress, then he’d have told the truth (he didn’t have five) but not the whole truth (he had one).

I see the personal attacks by the die hard Cruzlims have gone into overdrive now that it’s becoming obvious that he’s had at the very least a highly awkward intimate public relationship with Amanda Carpenter. Like their candidate blames all things on Trump, they now blame and accuse people of being paid shills, bad Christians, etc... rather than seeking God’s wisdom and reevaluating their candidate. Any thoughtful consideration of Cruz for the past two months should have shaken a person out of whatever spell would lead to the vitriol I’ve seen being spewed rabidly in this thread.
Don’t let them get to you. Some people just don’t have good scam detectors and are easily put under the spell of deceivers. That’s sadly why there have been so many through out history, and there probably always will be.

— Trump is the candidate who was fined $1 million by the federal government for hiring illegal Polish workers. In a debate he denied that fact — but Rubio and Cruz both said it was true — and Trump was exposed as a liar.
—Trump is the candidate who has dumped two wives for mistresses;
—Trump is the candidate who has celebrated — in two of his books — that he is a serial adulterer and that he has bedded some really important women who seemingly had good marriages.
—Trump is the candidate who has said that if he is denied the nomination there will be riots. The last contested GOP convention that I recall as a young supporter of Ronald Reagan was in 1976. I don’t recall Reagan saying that if he lost there would be riots. Reagan understood that as a presidential candidate he was to remain classy and calm and not incite trouble. But then Reagan was a great man, one of America’s greatest presidents, and Donald Trump is a thug. And many of Trump’s supporters on this website are junior thugs in training.
