Despite The Math, Bernie Sanders Has Already Won
National Pubic Radio ^ | March 27, 2016 | Domenico Montanaro

Posted on 03/27/2016 12:16:15 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Bernie Sanders scored huge-margin victories Saturday in the caucuses in Washington State, Hawaii and Alaska.

Sanders won with 82 percent in Alaska, 70 percent in Hawaii and 72 percent in Washington. That Washington margin was even bigger than the Sanders campaign expected — and significant, because there are 101 delegates up for grabs there.

AP has not yet allocated all the delegates out of Washington State. More will be tallied in his column over the next several weeks, as the state party releases margins by congressional district. But if Sanders' share holds, when all's said and done, he could net more than 60 delegates out of Saturday.

That's impressive and would cut into Clinton's pledged-delegate lead significantly, by 20 percent.

It doesn't change the math much, but that might not even be the point. Sanders has a narrow path (laid out below in detail), but he is going to win in lots of places over the next two months in similarly sweeping fashion. Regardless of what happens, when people look back on this 2016 Democratic primary, Sanders won't be dismissed as a gadfly or fringe candidate, as he was treated at the beginning of this campaign. He has already had a major impact on the Democratic Party, on Hillary Clinton and how they talk about the issues he's cared about most for the last 40 years — income inequality, regulation of Wall Street banks and power and influence in politics.

they must LOVE sanders.

that a socialist should be doing well, no less this well, breaks one’s heart.

How many people each year escape to communist countries?

NPR and PBS still exist because every time we try to get rid of state media, they drag out Big Bird and the American people fall for the BS.

Hillary’s gonna steal it right in front of the young idealistic college Rats eyes.

She’ll piss on the snowflakes heads and melt them, cackling the whole while.

Also, if he really is what he says he is, and there’s no reason to disbelieve that he is, then why would he believe in elections after he wins?

Not really what socialists do once in power. Have elections.

I guess he envisions a Western European kind of country. Great.

“why does NPR still exist?”

Government funding is harder to kill than Dracula. Because of the blood-sucking Draculinian nature of government, they banned all Christian symbols from the public forum. This is because they might make liberals burst into flame.

It’s frightening to think any Democrat might have a chance at POTUS after this guy in the WH now. HE, and his party should have finally, after all the years become a lesson learned.

good answer.

PropogandaBS needs to go.

many people don’t know what Bernie stands for, nor do they know that these stations are liberal mouthpieces.

they claim work and kids keeps them too busy to know the truth or the facts.

Knowing these things is a duty in a Republic that few seem to care about anymore

I used to be in public broadcasting and it never ceased to amaze me how gullible people are when it comes educational programming. Nothing was too good or too little for big bird and the like.

We know the game is already rigged for Hillary, but this is not the way the presumptive nominee should be closing the deal by getting wiped out by 3 to 1 margins to an in party opponent. Hillary isn’t popular with her own party though we know many of them will hold their nose in November and vote for her.

Sanders can’t win, and I doubt he has any intention of winning. His job is to make it look like Hillary is putting up a fight for her candidacy and nomination. It’s her time and her right you know.

“why does NPR still exist?”

Just another thing to be added to President Trump’s “TO DO LIST!” If it continues to exist, it needs to do so without a nickel from the US Government!

Bernie has a monopoly on the SWK, stupid white kids, vote. His get out the vote ground game revolves around finding the basement door to knock on and drive them from their parents’ basement to the polls.

That's why she will have him killed. Tragic accident and all.

How libtard. Math isn’t important. It’s past time to strip these morons of their voting rights. When they can function as self-supporting adults, maybe we can talk.
