The National Enquirer published a story this week claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz. ........ Ted Cruz just blamed Donald Trump and his former consultant Roger Stone for the National Enquirer article accusing the Texas senator of extramarital trysts. Cruz blamed Donald Trump and his henchmen including former consultant Roger Stone for advancing the rumors.
Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin the story was all lies. Cruz then went on to blame the article on Donald Trump and his henchmen. Cruz argued Roger Stone has been forwarding the article today on the internet. He thinks Trump campaign is behind this story. Cruz also said the publisher of the National Enquirer is a friend of Donald Trumps.

Lucy!, you got some spainin’ to do.
The National Inquirer loves Trump, as much as they loved Obama in 2008 when they went after Palin. This is more than just a passing affection for a liberal who can give them years of trashy headlines. In this case, it is personal. Donald Trump and National Inquirer CEO David Pecker have been close friends for years. As noted in New York Magazine.http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/10/trumps-alliance-with-the-national-enquirer.html
Quote
Trump and Enquirer CEO David Pecker have been friends for years. Theyre very close, said a source close to the Enquirer. In July 2013, Trump even tweeted that Pecker should become CEO of Time magazine, which at the time was being spun off from its corporate parent, Time Warner. Hed make it exciting and win awards!
This isn’t the first time that the National Inquirer attempted to help Trump. In October, the Inquirer went after Trump’s then main opponent, Ben Carson:
Quote
...the Enquirer published a cover story on Carson headlined Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patients Brain! The article called Carson a White House wannabe and claimed he brandished a scalpel like a meat cleaver! It went on to quote angry former patients saying he botched surgeries that left them disfigured and in pain; one patient who sued Carson said he forgot to remove a surgical sponge from her brain after a procedure. His presidential campaign should be dead on arrival! Enquirer reporter Sharon Churcher wrote.
The Inquirer even placed the source of the Carson attack directly at the Trump Campaign.
Quote
This person also said that Trumps campaign was a source for the article: His campaign provided information that was used, he explained. A Trump friend said that in the days leading up to the articles publication Trump was telling people that Carson had a lot of medical malpractice suits and almost killed a guy.
But before you think this is just the National Inquirer looking for tabloid trash to boost ratings, consider that just a few weeks ago, they took valuable space in their magazine to write a glowing, groveling endorsement of Trump. The National Enquirer Declares, Trump Must Be President the article started.
You can read the whole endorsement here:

your peddling lies here .
knowingly.
Goggle the National Enquirer owners and their background and donations.
Both owners are hard core Clinton donors and one worked in the Clinton WH !
So stop peddling BS .
It took two minutes to figure out they are Dems !
So you are not saying it is untrue, just that it is trumps fault that it came out?
LMAO
It is funny! How dare Trump tarnish St. Cruz’s oh so perfect clean washed righteous reputation! That’s the type of reputation some of the perfects here require for one to be nominated for President. Nothing less will do. They’ll sniff it while looking down their nose at you.
Or you can ask Glenn Beck. hahahahhahaha!
I will happily take the endorsement of a rag tabloid over Glenn Beck any day. No contest.
Yeah there seems to be something there. I would have thought that a year ago that there was no way. But the more this campaign goes on the more Cruz's true character is showing. I truly believe his conservatism was a handy way to get elected and keep getting elected.
I know they are not the same but they were for the same purpose, e.g. to support Cruz’s candidacy, and who pays the bills isn’t something the average donor understands or cares about. I just was pointing out the disingenuousness of begging for “What ever you can give” donations from individuals while the PAC that exists to obtain the same outcome is giving $500,000 to a competitor.
I sure don’t want a person who thinks this is fiscal conservatism running the country.
T. Cruz blames everything on Trump and attacks Trump even if it is off topic. He is consumed with Trump. Trump lives in his head. Cruz lost me when he blamed Trump, a least partially, for the Chicago violence. Thus, whatever he says about Trump lacks credibility. Sad how Cruz is unraveling.
And what’s funny is that most of those accused just laugh it off. Cruz blames the whole story on trump which is kind of weird.
First question -— Is Keep the Promise a PAC or a SUPER PAC?
Candidates are NOT ALLOWED to coordinate, contact or tell a SUPER PAC what to do with their money.
Let’s answer that question first.
If it is a Super Pac and it can be shown that Ted Cruz’s campaign coordinated with them, Cruz should be charged with election law violation.
If not, then Cruz can’t do a damn thing about how a Super Pac chooses to use the money they have.
He or she is consistent in anti Trumpness.
EDIT TO ADD: If there is evidence to show that Ted Cruz did coordinate with this Super Pac, then it is grounds for election law violation charges.
Lets have the evidence.
You are so wrong. Do you know how to research? Candidates can communicate and coordinate with their Pacs just not in matters of spending money or allocating funding.
Yes they can talk, yes they can meet in fact Cruz has spoken at rallies sponsored by one of his supporting pacs....Do a little bit of your own homework.
While I don't believe the National Enquirer article hits squarely on the truth, you can bet, there's some truth to the allegations, or Cruz would be all over it.
While I don't believe the National Enquirer article hits squarely on the truth, you can bet, there's some truth to the allegations, or Cruz would be all over it.
Precisely! Who isn't he demanding that the Enquirer retract that story immediately?
How many years did Mr. & Mrs. Cruz live 1000 apart?
Bet Heidi came to TX once, unexpectedly, and discovered someone else in bed with Ted on the night she was “a danger to herself”.
I understand he’s a columnist.
You make a good point.
Reeks of desperation.
