Ted Cruz didnt attack Donald Trump early in the cycle because others who had ended up as roadkill.
In an interview with Wisconsin's Charlie Sykes of WTMJ, the Texas senator was pressed about his earlier fawning statements about Trump, including a tweet from December that said he wouldnt engage with Trump because the billionaire businessman was terrific.
What took you so long? WTMJ asked, referring to Cruz's now full-throated attacks on Trump.
It was a wonderfully diverse, talented, dynamic, young field. It had really incredible talent. If you look at a number of the candidates that took on Donald Trump early on, they ended up as roadkill, Cruz said in the Wednesday interview, which was first reported by BuzzFeed News.
Cruz said the strategy all along was to first build up a strong core of support before directly taking on Donald. And not be roadkill, Cruz added. I am very strongly committed on the anti-roadkill approach.

This means that any vote for Cruz in the primaries isn't in reality a vote for Cruz: it's a vote for a brokered convention and a vote for Jeb, Mitt, or whatever other mealy-mouthed liberal the RNC wants to hand the crown to during the convention.
Wow. He just admitted to being a liar.
Thank you for your service!

beta-male, LOL!
“And maybe why Trump did not bother to attack Cruz so he held back his ace card like a boss.”
That’s probably part of it. Also, Cruz didn’t attack Trump until later. Cruz swore he was going to run a clean campaign but that didn’t last all that long. Trump never attacked anyone until they went after him first.
I won’t like voting for el’rato but I will if it is between him and Hillary.
Hi! Haven’t posted here in some time. Hello to all!
What I think is helpful is notifying current GOP candidates that if they allow this convention railroading to go forward and give the nomination to some tomato can like they have done the last 2 times, you will not vote.
In local races that could make a big difference and put the fear of God into them. Many local candidates are convention delegates or know the delegates. Make them afraid.
Because, as a Trump supporter, I will stay home if they railroad the nomination to someone else. It will be the first time ever I haven’t voted, but by golly I will stay home.
Cowardly Lyin’ Ted..
Read the fine print on the bottom of the upper image.
I agree 100%, so Let me repeat that...
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results.
Electing another ivy league lawyer and expecting a different results from somebody who did not finish his first term is INSANE.
Great. Yet one more two-faced Republican avoiding the fight to avoid jeopardizing his position.

Happy Easter to you and yours.
“Paid For by Make America Awesome. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.”
That’s what Pacs do.......publish that fine print for “plausible deniability.” Printing that convinces me even more they do the dirty work while running cover for the candidate.
If it doesn't say "Approved by....", then it isn't.
It is that simple.
Believe whatever you want to.
