I listened to Rush on Friday. He said that Pacs were "afraid" to do the dirty work of candidates who wanted to disavow the attacks, because they could "get in trouble" with the FCC.

I started laughing.

Rush, for all his political skills, was clearly back peddling.

In political circles, it is Standard Operating Procedure to use Pacs as the dirt machines. The candidates know they don't even have to respond or disavow the attacks, becasue they can claim that to "even communicate disapproval might indicate cooperations, so for the good of the law, I must stay silent."

It is a load of BS and everyone knows it.

I also laugh at the sudden worship of the sacredness of election laws. You mean like voting ballots being handed out like flyers in Utah? You mean like some precents having over 100% turnout? You mean like candidates or their surrogates campaigning in front of and even inside polling locations?

Ha ha ha.
