Fox News Poll: Cruz, Kasich Ahead of Clinton In 2016 Hypothetical Matchups

By Dana Blanton Published March 23, 2016 FoxNews.com

Republicans are eager to win back the White House in 2016. A new Fox News national poll finds both John Kasich and Ted Cruz ahead of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in hypothetical matchups, while Donald Trump trails her. Kasich does best against Clinton. He has a double-digit advantage and also comes in above the 50 percent mark: 51 percent to Clinton’s 40 percent. Cruz is preferred over Clinton by three percentage points (47-44 percent). Clinton tops GOP front-runner Donald Trump by 11 points (49-38 percent).

” For starters he needs to release his taxes”

Neither Ted nor Rubio did.

Find a new talking point.

” and the tapes the NY Times have that he did with their editorial board.”

Off the record recordings? For what? Because some Ted flunkies think there is some gotcha there? Where are all of the Cruz recordings?

Polls showed Romney close in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, it wasn’t even close. Also had him within striking distance in New Jersey. People forget so quickly. McCain had to fight hard to win Arizona in 2k8 but he was the “best” candidate to go up against the Democrat.

Sure they are. Riiiight.

Their combined total of votes and delegates don't equal what Trump has. But they would beat Hillary in the general?

Kasich can only win his home state. How is he going to win the general?

And, I am not a Trumpkin, a Trumpette or whatever. Yes, I support Donald Trump. I do not call supporters of Ted Cruz names and would vote for him if he wins the nomination. Not happily, but I would do it. So, I would appreciate the same courtesy.

If that’s the case, why spend the money on elections, just do one poll 8 months out and be done with it. No debates and less hate in the country overall. We can just elect Sanders now

Cruz and Kasich are jokes. Easily beatable fools.

The dems are scared crapless of Trump!

FoxNews polls are about as reliable as NBC polls.

NBC is the one that keeps coming up with the ‘negatives’ polls.

It’s absurd to hear these same people cling onto polls about elections 8 months into the future, but then tell you that polls for things days in advanced are wrong.

Cruz bots troll hard day after primaries. Disappear for actual primaries.

Manufactured FNC polls today to create false momentum for Cruz with Utah and Jeb! endorsement.

It’s all bull

FLASHBACK: Reagan Trailed Carter 58% to 33% in March 1980

That's why all "Hillary Clinton vs." polls mean nothing. There's too much time to the general election. Any number of things can happen between now and then. Examples include Trump making Cruz or Kasich his running mate, and Clinton being nominated solely based on the superdelegates (Sanders having more pledged delegates).

Why of course? With Hannity and O’Reilly pulling for Trump so hard, Fox has become the Trump News Network.

Numbers based on the current allocations at Thegreenpapers.com

‘hard’ delegates

Trump 752
Cruz 463
Kasich 144

That puts Trump 289 ahead of Cruz with 893 delegates available in remaining states.

Trump needs 485 of those of those 893.
Cruz needs 774 of those 893.

Kasich is numerically out of the race, as he needs 1093 delegates with only 893 remaining. He is short by 200 delegates, even if he wins 100% of all remaining states/delegates.

The dems are scared crapless of Trump!

Dems don't have any better ideas on how to beat Trump that the GOP has. The GOP and media have thrown everything they can think of at Trump and they hasn't even dented his armour. And he has been their target since he announced in June.

What scares the Dem establishment is that Trump is getting primary votes from their formerly solid constituencies. Thousands are switching their party affiliation -- and that is not to vote for Kasich or Cruz.
