President Obama on Wednesday delivered a sharply personal rebuke of Sen. Ted Cruz for his call to enhance surveillance on Muslim communities in response to the Brussels terrorist attacks.
During a press conference in Argentina, Obama called such a proposal “wrong and un-American” and said it would undermine the U.S. campaign against Islamic extremist groups
Obama invoked Cruz’s Cuban heritage, arguing the senator was ignoring the personal journey of his father, who fled the island nation for the United States to escape political oppression. “I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance, which by the way, the father of Sen. Cruz escaped for America,” the president said. “The land of the free. The notion that we would start down that slippery slope makes absolutely no sense.”
It was the second day in a row Obama addressed the series of blasts in the Belgian capital, which killed at least 31 people and injured more than 180, including a dozen Americans.
The Brussels attacks shook up the presidential campaign with fresh concerns about the threat of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

Maybe Cruz should have said we should use drones to surveil these neighborhoods. Obama seems to have no problem doing that all over the world.
Right, Zero, surveil the conservatives and work against and let the enemy islamists within have free rein. Each day a new atrocity by the vacationer-in-chief as he and his greedy family enjoy life at our expense.

Good job by Cruz getting the media focus on him. As we’ve learned in this information cycle, getting “negative media attention” for a position like this does NOT harm.
The media would apparently be fine with “no-go zones” like in Europe.
I respectfully disagree: Barack HUSSEIN Obama knows EXACTLY what he’s doing.
Neil Bush needs to call Obama and explain what Cruz really meant. And be sure to tell him Christian are included.

I’m not surprised considering Trump supported the terrorist’s point of view when they attempted mass murder of Pam Geller and her cartoon contest.
Trump and his supporters are two peas in a pod.
