Echoing a sentiment shared by millions of Republican primary voters across the country, conservative Fox News host Sean Hannity essentially placed the GOP establishment on notice during his Wednesday program.
The popular host was speaking about the not-so-secret plan that the party elites intend to try and use a "brokered" convention to more or less steal the nomination away from front-running candidate Donald Trump should he fail to garner the required number of delegates beforehand.
Hannity then proceeded to voice his extreme displeasure with the idea, even suggesting he would abandon the party if it came to that.
Hannity asked rhetorically, “Are they going to cut their nose to spite their face?”
"You know, if they are going to be that self destructive, and if they're going to pout, and if they're going to pick up their little toys, and they're going to go home like a bunch of babies, they will destroy, there will be no Republican Party at the end of this," Hannity proclaimed.
"Because if they're successful, guess what? Cruz and Trump supporters are walking out," he stated. "And, I'm walking out with them."
This is a threat that the GOP establishment should take seriously, as Hannity remains fairly influential among the more conservative base of the party.
The shock was Hannity coming so close to advocating violence if the convention doesn’t ignore the current rules and give Trump the nomination without the required majority! He’s always been dim, but now he’s gone Glenn Beck crazy.
I smell ozone in your future.
If The Donald doesn’t have the required number of delegates on the first ballot, then all bets are off. The nomination wouldn’t be “stolen”, he would have failed to win.
It’s called politics!

What does “or close to it” mean? What should be done if Cruz has more delegates than Trump?

There is no stealing a nomination from Cruz. He can’t get it.... get it. He is part of the problem in that he is trying to help steal it from Trump who is the only one that can win it outright. Get it.

Hannity’s sending the same message Cruz and Trump supporters are saying to NRC, No Brokered Convention.
If Trump gets the necessary 1237 by convention time, I’ll support him too. At this point it looks like he is likely to make 1237, but its also possible he will not.
If he doesn’t get to 1237, then its on to Contested Convention, which is not the same as a Brokered Convention. Whomever wins 2nd or 3rd ballot, I’ll support against hitlery.

I am SO glad he did this! He took a very disappointing turn under the wings of the Beltway GOP, who were only interested in him as a token. This is like he used to be. This will do him only good going forward. I was afraid he was finished.
while I agree with Hannity on his statement; hasn’t he loudly proclaimed that he is a registered Independent, and no longer is a registered Hepublican?

I never did vet Jindal, will now, but thought he was ok guy, don’t know how he did as Gov. so I’m glad he ‘seen the light’ and came to his senses...
I’m so happy Jindal is looking past his first impression of Trump and seeing the man he really is. That says something for Jindal’s true heart. It takes some effort, a lot of people won’t try to actually understand some people. It happens a lot with Special Needs people. Sadly, too many people are too quick to judge and not see the beauty inside many. I witness that a lot while out in public and its breaks my heart. I think Jindal would be a good running mate.
It will end the republican party if they try to remove this nomination from the will of the voters. Not only will they be responsible for the inevitable violence and injury but they will lose the Senate and the House FOREVER!! The Democrats are pulling for the oligarchy.
