Echoing a sentiment shared by millions of Republican primary voters across the country, conservative Fox News host Sean Hannity essentially placed the GOP establishment on notice during his Wednesday program.
The popular host was speaking about the not-so-secret plan that the party elites intend to try and use a "brokered" convention to more or less steal the nomination away from front-running candidate Donald Trump should he fail to garner the required number of delegates beforehand.
Hannity then proceeded to voice his extreme displeasure with the idea, even suggesting he would abandon the party if it came to that.
Hannity asked rhetorically, “Are they going to cut their nose to spite their face?”
"You know, if they are going to be that self destructive, and if they're going to pout, and if they're going to pick up their little toys, and they're going to go home like a bunch of babies, they will destroy, there will be no Republican Party at the end of this," Hannity proclaimed.
"Because if they're successful, guess what? Cruz and Trump supporters are walking out," he stated. "And, I'm walking out with them."
This is a threat that the GOP establishment should take seriously, as Hannity remains fairly influential among the more conservative base of the party.
Remember your Mom telling you “you must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed, now go back and get up on the right side”?
As long as Trump plays by the rules, we should all be willing to overlook a lot of less than civility and vote against hitlery. Same goes for Trumpbots if the nominee ends up Cruz.

I despise Trump with every fiber of my being. As in, can’t put into words how much I loath his bloviating boorish a$$. And there is no way on earth that I will abandon every conservative principle I have ever held and vote for the fool.
BUT...I agree wholeheartedly that the GOP had better not screw with the process and try and jam their guy in. Given the primary votes, there are only TWO viable candidates. The nominee must be either Cruz or Trump. Period.

If Cruz has more delegates (an extremely unlikely situation) then all is fair. If Trump comes in with significantly more than anyone but not quite 1237, similar to Ford-Reagan in 1976, (a much more likely event) then it should be the definitive leader that gets the nod (as it was in 1976), and if that doesn’t happen, the dis-affected Trump voters will walk.

He’s telling them he will urge his voters to recognize that the GOP no longer deserves their support.
Doesn’t mean millions will stay home. But it could mean many crucial thousands will.

Oh, the GOPe would TAKE a McCain or Romney victory if it was handed to them, but only then. They are traitorous thieves, and a Dem POTUS gives them cover.
