Donald Trump and his backers want to redefine mathematics, and have the GOP nomination handed to him with a plurality of delegates, rather than a majority, being sufficient...
The Republican party has held 39 national conventions since its first in 1856. At each and every one, a majority of delegates was needed for someone to get the nomination...

Fuzzy facts and befuddled voters.
There’s so much gullibility on this thread that I begin to understand why Trump is doing so well. Truth and common sense are apparently relative.
It isn’t that kind of race. If Trump doesn’t make it to the finish line, nobody else will have either. At that point, it is reasonable to look at who got closest to the finish line. This is especially true because the GOPe is obviously bribing John kasick to stay in the race to prevent anyone from getting to the finish line.
Looking “at who got closest to the finish line” is called a second ballot.
>>> the candidate picked by GOPe is not a candidate we all wanted
All?
Majority is not a random number.
I agree that Trump should have the required number of delegates.
But I also believe that those who can’t possibly win enough delegates and don’t qualify because they haven’t won enough states should drop out. How about that rule?
He must get the 1237. He will.
Vote Trump
Should happen in Cali. June 7. Clint Eastwood MC. VIVA TRUMP.
If Trump is awarded (yes awarded) the nomination without having a majority of the delegate votes then then the opposition will rightly question his legitimacy.
He's working the refs.
I don't understand. Exactly how did Mitt Romney come up short in 2012?
I tried to research that claim and found this:
Campaign 2012: Mitt Romney captures delegates for GOP nod
So I'm just trying to understand what you mean, since I've seen it asserted a few times...
Once again, what is meant by this? Please see my previous post...
Is that the Pillsbury that gave all that money to Ole Miss?
No idea.
You are a moron.
Fund’s article is just the opposite - to get the GOPes to block Trump.
No serious person reads National Review anymore.
It is a bunch of RINO dilettantes who are fearful of losing their jobs in a fading magazine and losing access to the inner circle in a Trump administration.
No matter what they do, there’s one thing the PTB can’t control.
How people vote.
They can make those votes or non-votes meaningless in the primary election, but not the general.
If they play with fire they will get burned.
WHAT?
John Fund is the special needs version of Bill Kristol.
What are you talking about?
Here is what the Trumpkins want if Donald Duck Trump goes into the convention with 1000 delegates they want the Republican party to crown him the Nominee instead of the 1237 needed!!
Ah a timely quote from my boyhood idol. Two timelier quotes from your boyhood idol, and worth holding onto whether it's Hilarious Rodent Clinton, Donaldus Minimus, or whomever comes forth from a brokered Republican't convention winning in November:
Democracy---The theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it, good and hard.
Democracy---The fine art of running the circus from the monkey cage.
