Lee Davidson wrote the following article in the Salt Lake Tribune about Republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% s rallies today in Utah:
Cruz also basked in the praise of two big-name Mormons: former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and conservative talk show host Glenn Beck.
[ ]
Beck, a Mormon and conservative radio talk show host, said he always vows to be the worst enemy of politicians who do not keep promises. I dont have any friends in Washington except these two, he said about Cruz and Lee. He added they are the first politicians he has even endorsed.
Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days. He said he believes that now is that time, and people like Lee and Cruz will save it.

They want to help Cruz win Utah, and it will probably work. The LDS “Church” in general is all about peer pressure and shaming people who don’t toe the line, and it’s a caucus vote. I wouldn’t be surprised if LDS elders stand around watching, waiting to excommunicate people for not voting “correctly”.
So Cruz will likely win Utah, and on the same day, lose Arizona. But they’ll spin a fake narrative of “Cruzmentum” based on the Utah win, which will promptly fall flat on its face when Cruz loses the next roughly 8 contests.
Stopped clock.
LOL!
Mormon Prophecy: And a man shall dwell among them, and his smugness, and haughty ways, shall drive them away from Christianity, and into our arms.
I didn’t think that Evangelicals and Mormons played well together.
Goofy bastid.
What happened to Cruz die hard supporters? They are MIA here. I want to know, what they have to say????
That used to be pretty much the case from a religious point of view, and to my knowledge still is. Not sure what’s going on with this. I can’t say that I understand Cruz’s denomination.
He’s about half goofy, uhh Beck, that is..
Many of them are probably in church, being told that if they don’t vote for Ted, they’ll burn in hell for all eternity.
It’s telling that 25% of the Republican electorate is as bat shit crazy as Cruz and Beck. It’s really unbelievable that so many people fall for Cruz and his preacher routine. The older I get the more the far right wing of the party and the religious whack jobs aggravate me.
I don’t even hear crickets.
Wow... words fail me. This loon needs professional help!
Sorry Glenny, you only made it with point #11; can’t hang out with Mitt as you’re not in the morgbot fraternity.

5. Utah like grooming and accent
6. Large gregarious family
7. Evidence of embarrassing fully Mormon culture...language, tardiness, music, dress standards, FHE
8. Relatives or at least friends in high places
9. An LDS Track record: Mission, temple marriage, etc.
10.Absolutely no hint of being a real person with real problems
11.the ability to sound incredibly sincere and to bring tears to your eyes almost at will
Beck’s nonsense might play with some in Utah, but it negates any chance Cruz might have with the national general electorate.
Looks like Cruz’s strategy is to scorch the earth until he finally smashes into a brick wall. Not sure what he’s trying to actually accomplish, but all I can think of is that he’s now the sword of the GOPe for their last gasp “get Trump” attack at the convention.
“Thank god the other 48 states are not like Utah and Iowa.”
Shouldn’t that be: “Thank god the other 55 states are not like Utah and Iowa.”?
I’m not convinced Cruz’s die hard supporters were Cruz die hard supporters.
