Arizona's contentious Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his officers locked up protesters who blocked a main highway leading to a Donald Trump rally and "threw them in jail."
Arpaio, addressing a crowd in Tucson, Arizona at Trump's third and final event Saturday, said he's impressed with Trump's assertive approach to campaigning, and said he's sure that Trump will deliver on his promises, particularly his vow to build a border wall with Mexico.
Arpaio has endorsed Trump's bid for the White House and introduced him at events in Tucson and an earlier event in his home town of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Blocking highways is not an act of free speech but a criminal act. The perpetrators should rightfully be in jail for quite some time.
What if an ambulance with a heart attack victim was in that blocked traffic?
While it is extremely important to consider emergency services (though I'll note that there was no mention of the dozens of officers who were tied up who could be out there protecting the public), I see absolutely no difference between an emergency and every day travel. Tens of thousands were affected so they could pull their stunt.
I'm glad no one died because of it, but ultimately, they have dictated that their viewpoints are far superior to anyone doing anything else. Had that been a group of Republicans rather than a group of Democrats, the nation would be enraged.
Perhaps we should no longer be so accepting of Democrats obstructing not only politics, but every day life.
