Utah Speaker of the House Greg Hughes just endorsed Donald Trump in front of a crowd of about 400 at a rally for the insurgent Republican presidential candidate.

Hughes says he met Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr. recently who asked for his endorsement.

Hughes spoke to a revved up crowd at the Infinity Event Center in downtown Salt Lake City as Trump fans waited for the billionaire to address the crowd.

I would say Cruz looks more like a mortician.

Some in the left side of the twittersphere liken him to Count Chocula.

They've done side-by-sides with him and the cereal box, and even though it is mean-spirited and unChristian, I have to laugh.

...our friend Rita is on the warpath lately. I don't think there is anything worse than being betrayed by someone you voted for.

I'm a Texan. Who do you think I voted for in the Texas Senate race of 2012?

I'm pissed too. Maybe even more than Rita, because I also donated to Ted's presidential campaign four separate times before realizing what a skunk he is. You bet I'm pissed.

That is what I’m thinking. He must want something else, like Rubio. The Senate was a stopping off point.

Ted needs a radio show so he can enjoy hearing himself talk, in that Shakespearean cadence. Thanks, tenn.

Lordy. Your vote and your wallet?

Ouch. Of course, I contributed modestly to McCain in 2008, so I get your drift. However, in that case, I knew it was a snake when I picked it up.

Gee, I hope I’m not confusing the two fantastic sons. I am thinking of the taller blonde one as Eric, and the darker haired son as Donald. (If I am wrong, I will never get them straight.) LOL!

I DO think they have a future in politics, of course also in anything, and right on time to stop CHELSEA CLINTON is the real bonus.

WHOO HOO, TRUMP!

Tonto! You made me laugh! First time today!

The Direct TV went ballistic, at the wrong time mid-morning, the time has changed (and I most certainly have not), which means telephone solicitors were calling at dang 7:00 AM(!) by my personal old time, then the phone goes completely dead and will be out until Monday(!), Mitt supports the ruse in Utah, and it was 2 PM before I had breakfast, and tonight that Me*Again had on of all people, Jose Ramos, UNIVISION, together bashing TRUMP!

The County Convention is tomorrow at 1 PM. I hope to be civil by lunch time! LOL! You’re a peach, and I need to chill, but it’s cranky day. HA! Thanks for the laugh though. Rita! :D

Lordy. Your vote and your wallet? Ouch.

Well, to be completely honest, my donations were quite modest compared to the large checks some families could write. Still, it was money our meager budget could scarcely afford. I did it because I really believed in Ted.

As to helping Ted get his Senate seat, I voted in the primary, the run-off, and the general elections to get Ted there, and was proud to do so. I honestly never felt let down by him until he began his premature quest for the top job in the land. That came as something of a surprise, but a delight, as well. I eagerly signed on to help him.

When Ted voted to end cloture on the TPA vote, I froze in my tracks, and my brain went on full lock. That shocked me, and caused me to end my support for Ted, once I'd fully thought the ramifications through.

Then came his affirmative vote for the Corker amendment, which no American should ignore. That vote helped give Iran the means to bomb our beloved country into the stone age. How could he??

At that point, I was completely done with Ted. All previous allegiance and love I had for him as a fellow Texan was gone.

In the meantime, Trump had stepped into the race, and the confluence of events couldn't have been more poignant. Here was a man who was talking my language, at last. Someone who seemed to truly get what I and my family were suffering with, every single day. And, he was someone I'd known for going on thirty years.

I didn't immediately sign on to his team, but within a week or two, Trump had convinced me that he was the real deal. Since then, every scrap of information I've learned about the man, has only strengthened my initial gut level trust in him. I'm now convinced that he's our last best hope to turn this country around peacefully, and he's got the exact right skill set to do it.

Oh, Rita! Sounds like a day.

I've been telling you to stay away from Lightweight Journalist Crazy Megyn. Trump has been on her hard today. Fox has hit at him. He's hit back. It's been a mess.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow. I need to get out of the house. I worked and Freeped from home today, and never put on real pants. Just borrowed a pair of my son's fleece pajama pants and a t-shirt. It's been decadent, but I can't do that two days in a row.

One day was fine, but two will seem trashy and lazy.

My how things change. There’s that many in the order line at Andy’s any Summer night.

We actually had a Freeper present and the number was 1600 when they stopped letting people in. There were also a couple thousand outside.

I've only seen one video of him speaking, and was impressed. Seems there's starting to be some buzz about The Donald's heirs. They're not only catching our eyes, but the eyes of many astute observers.

Same here and his grasp of the 2nd Amendment was impressive. I know where his dad is seeking counsel.

You are so right to avoid MeAgain. I guess I have not seen her since the very first debate, but for passing through with my remote. Actually, I saw Ramos this evening, before I saw butch I mean, er, MeAgain. I listened to her bait him into a willing bash Trump response and moved on.

Sounds like you are recovering from time change-itis too. I told my husband I felt like Howard Hughes today, in that movie HA! where he locked himself in his apartment and had milk delivered outside the door. LOL! I just arose on the wrong side of the bed, for sure. Thanks much for the support therapy! Maybe we will have a fine weekend. Thx!

I vaguely recall that Utah has 100 delegates?

And it’s split — fifty based on a caucus and fifty based on voting booths.

Right?

Cruz strikes me as top notch at a caucus.

Utah has only 40 GOP delegates.

A candidate that picks up over 50% backing gets them all, otherwise it’s proportional, but it’s actually a bit more complicated than I’m stating.

That’s a pretty thin list. You could make a longer one for Kasich, and a MUCH longer one for Trump.

No one’s promoting Trump as, ‘the most conservative candidate since Reagan’.

In Ted’s case, there’s been a huge amount of hype thrown around about his mythical perfection. The list I produced puts the lie to that fiction.

Ted’s a fraud.

Thank you. Yeah, complicated. I’m getting sick of the complications because many Trump supporters are so green.
