COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) A Columbus man got a visit from Secret Service after making an inflammatory remark on a Facebook post last week.
Hillary and Bernie Sunday at OSU, was the post to WCMHs Candice Lees private account on March 7.
The post got the attention of Gary Barry, a Facebook friend.
I jokingly said, where do I send the bomb? Barry told WCMH Wednesday evening.
His comment didnt go unnoticed by other people responding to the news that both Democratic presidential candidates were coming to Columbus for a CNN Debate last Sunday.
The next day I thought about it. But I was like, hey, its the Internet. Once its out there, its out there. So I didnt think no more about it till yesterday, said Barry.
But it was no laughing matter to the Secret Service. Someone contacted them about the post and an investigation was launched. Two armed agents knocked on Barrys door ready to talk.
I received a phone call from my son saying there were two gentlemen at the door from the Secret Service. And I thought he was kidding. But he wasnt and they actually waited for me to get home, said Barry.
Barry said the agents questioned him and wife for about thirty minutes. The agents knew everything about him, his family, even his father who was firefighter.
They were asking me if I was a racist, if I was anti-Muslim. And, do I have any thoughts of suicide or thoughts of assassinating the vice president or president, said Barry.
WISH-TVs sister station WCMH contacted the United States Secret Service officer here in Columbus. They confirm an ongoing investigation in the comment made by Gary Barry. They also admit to questioning him Tuesday.
Jonathan Schuck, Resident Agent In-Charge, said it is standard procedure for social media threats against the President and presidential candidates. Its a chargeable offense with a penalty of up to five years in federal prison.
The agents left Barry with some sound advice.
They said, watch what you say on Facebook. And even spread that word as soon as they left, said Barry.
1994 After Donna Sleighride inferred that we lost Viet Nam war because "we didn't send our bet and brightest", namely "Old Yellar" Clinton I snapped and posed the rhetorical question "Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we REALLY need him?"
Return visit a year after I got my Texas CHL. They were just "wondering why" I thought I needed it. Really pissed them off when I produced my Charter Arms Bulldog Pug and said if I was looking for a sniper weapon I couldn't have gotten further away.
No FB for me either.
“”Free Republic is my only social media. No FB, no MySpace. Nada.””
Same here - much too old for the other nonsense. Who knows - there may come a day when our comments are considered improper or subversive or threatening...
“”there may come a day when our comments are considered improper or subversive or threatening””
Make that “there may come a day when our comments HERE are considered improper or subversive or threatening”
Here’s my summary post on Clockmed, with several good links that illustrate why that event was a deliberate troll.

With all the comments made on social media that are of a questionable nature, I suspect the Secret Service is very busy these days ...
Met some great people here an also showed up at my fav. pub in the Udist Seattle. The Ram.
After seeing how the SS responded to the libtard here in Dayton, when he tried to attack Trump, I have nothing but respect for them. Has somewhat restored my faith in them.
They're both running for Obama's third term.
They are protected by the SSm, which is run by the Black Imam In Chief, Obama.
I warned someone on FB that they better watch it or they would be getting a visit. I imagine they did get a visit for what they said, Some people think you can say whatever they want even when they would never do anything
Excuse the grammar in post 51. I had surgery yesterday and had to go back to the hospital today for a complication.
Can I plead the Fifth?
