Sarah Palin announces the grim injuries and current condition of her husband

I broke two ribs once. It was a month before I could sleep in a bed.
Sounds like he not only broke 13 ribs, but broke them to bits.
Doesn’t sound like Todd to me. I can’t see him out there alone. He’s always encouraged the buddy system. He wouldn’t go out a few years ago, because his partner wasn’t able to go. He finally arranged a new partner, and was back in the game, so going it alone just doesn’t sound right to me.
Being out in Alaska by yourself is a risk.
A speed wobble at 65 mph, separating from my bike, a resulting broken wrist, and numerous abrasions about 20 years ago made me a permanent member of the Broken Angels Motorcycle Club.
I have abrother who is like Todd. Nothing goes unless it’s gone all the way to the floor. Until he hit something wrong.
I doubt he needed any help.
I concur, but then, I couldn’t fit that with Sarah P saying he was found by a “mystery” person. Where was Todd’s buddy?
Prayers up for Todd.
When he recovers, if a lot of metal was used to repair his broken ribs/bones, he will have a lot of fun going through the metal detectors at airports.
My wife has a maze of bolts and screws in one of her wrists and one shoulder.
An XRay of one of my feet looks like an ACE hardware add for an assortment of screws/hinges and other metal.
Last year we went to a Football game at the New Levi stadium, and we set off the alarms just barely entering the scan area. The cops and renta cops descended on our area, until they saw a couple of 70 year old bionic people grinning at them.
Prayers for the Palin family!
“Sometimes God sends us messages to slow down on our toys.”
Seems like we have to be in our late 30’s or early 40’s before we listen to God’s messages.
“...I couldnt fit that with Sarah P saying he was found by a mystery person.”
Yeah. We need more information. Doesn’t sound right. Something’s out of place. From what I’ve read Todd doesn’t take chances that would put himself, or anyone for that matter at risk. That game is risky enough.
Prayers for Todd and the Palin family.
I am not so good with Twitter and Facebook, but pasting a link to this Thread would be the best medicine for both of the Palins.
I find the heartfelt wishes here on Free Republic demonstrate what good and caring people are on this forum.
You guys are awesome. God bless you all.
I laid down a Honda Goldwing going 65 on pavement and was injured almost identically as Todd. In my case, one week later, a blood clot broke off from somewhere and went through my heart and almost killed me. So, Todd’s a long way from being out of the danger zone. I have always admired the guy. I hope he pulls through.
Trump is a Club champ grade Golfer and owner of about a dozen courses.
Maybe once Todd gets up, he should learn Golf, and gets some tips from Donald. I am a black belt in Karate, and I am too old to break boards, only people.
Todd’s a native, so he knows the terrain. Accidents happen.
Thank God, he will recover!
Dearest Sarah has enough on her plate and we know she wants to be on the campaign trail with Mr. Trump! Politics is one of her joys.
In an earlier post on this thread I mentioned in passing my injuries which were greatly similar to Todd’s only from a motorcycle wreck on pavement.
That was 35 years ago. The young doc that night laughed at me, or maybe it was a chuckle, and told me as I was groaning in agony on an x-ray table “you’ll be feeling this night the rest of your life”. He was right. My broken ribs and shoulder hurt every day. But, I live on a golf course and can play golf. So, I think of all the injuries I read about it’s Todd’s knees that need to come out ok to play golf a lot.
But, lol, if I had Sarah to nurse me back to health and hand me my pain pills I think I would be just fine!

52 here. Dumped a fully loaded BMW 1200 GS a in the middle of a dirt road in Death Valley. It was 122 in the sun. I had to unload it, try to pick it up. Reload it, and get out. Luckily I had water.
But for about an hour I was going through my Northeast survival training which dealt with floods, snow, and cold.
Got out of it with a few scrapes, a little dehydration, and a whole lot of humble pie.
Don't forget to check your six.
Dear Lord prayers for a quick recovery for Todd. Be with Sarah and his children as they go though this traumatic time.

Is that the one that drops off a bazillion feet straight down?
