True Trump supporters will not want a Trump/Cruz ticket, because they won't want to give the RATS the best weapon to destroy Trump's chance of winning.
Not a problem at all for McCain.
Cruz just headlined that trump is inciting riots
Get a clue.
Not if Cruz is in the VP chair it wouldn’t.
Trump would take office regardless of the standing of the VP.
There is no Constitutionally-recognized activity called “running for President”, anybody can do it....
Correct it is up the Electoral College delegates to file a complaint and the President of the Senate (Biden) to recognize those complaints and validate the EC votes.
Which may mean that Hillary and her pick would be the valid ticket.
They absolutely will not do it.
This opens the can of worms that the Democrats knew that Obama was not a US citizen and 8 years of his imperialism would be null and void, including their precious ObamaCare.
Which rats? The demorats or the republirats?
Meh. VP picks really don’t mean much anymore with Sarah being he exception over the past couple of decades or so.
Someone across the aisle.
I haven’t liked a democrat since Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and Hillary Clinton wasn’t fit to wipe his shoes with her tongue.
I like the way he is thinking, though. At the end of the day, the extremists on that side and the extremists on this side will have to make concessions or they will be removed from table.
People are too broke and frustrated to fight each other when we have bigger problems.
Cruz wasn’t born to a Kenyan father.
There is too much bad blood on both sides for a Trump-Cruz ticket to be possible. Not going to happen. No one would have thought a Bush-McCain ticket would have made sense in 2000, considering the hostility that existed between the two camps. And, frankly, the hostility this year is about 10x what it was in 2000.
That is one possible outcome but it seems the most unlikely since it is not clear just how they would do that. Perhaps the single way would be with GOPe assistance.
IMO, it is unlikely Trump will add Cruz to the ticket. It also seems unlikely to me he would intentionally set the stage for a show-down over the inappropriate interpretation of the NBC clause foisted on by both parties via the O scam.
But outraged anti-Cruz members of Congress might lend the Ds a hand ostensibly as a way to put the issue behind us once and for all for the good of the nation. And, they just might have the Congressional weight to pull it off.
On the other hand, deal-maker Trump just might see it as a way to garner the Cruz vote for the general election, as well as a great way to thereafter drive a dagger through the heart of the NBC issue. A lot of folks would love him for that.
Uh, McCain didn’t win.....and we don’t know how many of those voted against him for that reason.
It’s just the thing Trump would do to get 24/7 media attention.
Zzzzzzzz
If Trump follows your thinking, the next president will be a Democrat.
Cruz represents a massive amount of support that Trump MUST have to win the presidency.
The answer to the problem is to have the senate do a resolution declaring that cruz is a citizen just like they
did for John McCain.
The difference between the two cases are in the details of the law. At the time of Sen Cruz’s birth, his mother was a US Citizen and had met the requirements to pass citizenship to Sen Cruz at his birth. This was NOT THE CASE with Obama’s mother if he was born in Kenya. If Obama was born in the US, then it is a non-issue.
Don’t think Grayson has standing to sue.
it’s an issue that needs to be resolved... however... if you make him VP choice and the dem start to attack that way...then you flushed the dem out... swapping out a VP choice on a ticket is not unprecedented and really not that difficult...
Sen Cruz was born a US Citizen by the conditions of his birth. He has never needed to be naturalized. By the conditions of his birth, he was naturally born a US Citizen. This is all constitutional under the authority specificly enumerated to Congress to create a uniform rule of naturalization.
