Ted Cruz vows to mock Trump at AIPAC for skipping Fox News debate
CNN ^ | March 16, 2016

Ted Cruz on Wednesday mocked Donald Trump for bowing out of a debate next week in Salt Lake City, and the Texas senator vowed to call out the GOP front-runner at a gathering of a major pro-Israel lobby group next week.

Trump said earlier in the day that he would not participate in the Fox News debate in Utah on Monday, and John Kasich quickly said that he wouldn't attend if Trump didn't. Later on Wednesday, Fox News formally canceled the event.

Trump said he would use his time instead on Monday to address a conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the prominent pro-Israel group. Cruz's campaign said in a statement Wednesday that Cruz would use his time at the same conference to "highlight Trump's positions -- or lack thereof -- in front of the thousands of AIPAC members in attendance."

"Let's be intellectually honest about what's going on here -- Donald Trump is scared to debate Ted Cruz next week,"

If Cruz doesn’t need to mock Trump, then why are Cruz and his idiotic poodles , Levin and Beck, incessantly attacking Trump on a daily basis ?

You would have to ask them. Really all you need to do is let Trump be Trump and play back the tapes.

Do you think that Cruz might try to explain why he voted for the Corker bill, the bill that allows the greatest terrorist nation on earth to develop atomic weapons and the ICBMs to deliver them to any place on earth?

Do you think Trump needs to explain what he means when he says he's going to be "the neutral guy" in the Israel/Palestinian negotiations? Neutral concerning the organization that has sworn to destroy Israel. And who has sent numerous terrorists out to kill dozens of Israelis?

It will be interesting to see if Trump can give a serious speech to a serious group.

I don't think Trump has given a serious speech in his life. He doesn't do scripted addresses. He'll get up there and wing it and give a barely comprehensible talk that's heavy on praise of him and absent of any concrete solutions.

“Do you think Trump needs to explain what he means when he says he’s going to be “the neutral guy” in the Israel/Palestinian negotiations? Neutral concerning the organization that has sworn to destroy Israel.”

Yes, I can explain because I saw that town hall meeting, live, myself. He was talking about making a peace agreement between those enemies, and how hard it would be because, Trump said, “the Palestinian children are taught to kill Jews almost from birth.” However, he said, it is not good for the negotiations to walk into a meeting with announced agendas, the implication being he did not want to walk into the meeting carrying on the fight that is in progress.

Everyone on earth knows how the Palestinians are. Now, that is what he said.

Okay, back to the Corker bill, which you did not mention...

Trump said, “the Palestinian children are taught to kill Jews almost from birth.”

And he want to be neutral on that? Really?

However, he said, it is not good for the negotiations to walk into a meeting with announced agendas, the implication being he did not want to walk into the meeting carrying on the fight that is in progress.

No U.S. president should ever enter into negotiations implying that, since he's a "neutral guy", Israels safety and security is open for discussions or could ever be part of a "deal". The fact that Trump would do that just shows how little he knows about foreign policy.

Okay, back to the Corker bill, which you did not mention...

Cruz gave his reasons: "I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama’s ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal."

Is he wrong? What would President Trump do, since he's "a neutral guy"?

Jesus is God, the Son and yes, I believe in the Trinitarian God.

Over my life, I have looked for the local church that best follows the Scripture. If you want numbers, then 7,8,13,22.

How about you?

Do you think that Trump shows an understanding of the Gospel?

Maybe this is a question for our Jewish FReepers. But are kids born of converted Jewish mother really Jewish? I am not trying to be funny just a curious question. BTW, I ♥ Israel and have been there a couple of times.

Yes, they are 100% Jewish. It’s actually case-by-case, but the children’s Jewishness is generally unquestionable even if their mother reverts or coverts to another religion.

That is but to demonstrate how little professional conservatives have accomplished, that a publican like Trump storms the club doors and vaults into the lead by telling the truth to the voters.

How much money have you donated to Cruz ?

Again, again, again, I saw the interview and Trump was in no way implying that Israel’s safety and security is open for discussion. It takes a demented imagination to claim that. Cruz’s vote for the Corker bill, on the other hand, does just that.

“Cruz gave his reasons: “I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama’s ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal.”

“because it may delay, slightly,...”

Trump doesn’t call Cruz “lying Ted” for nothing. The Corker bill IMMEDIATELY gave Obama the ability to lift the Iran sanctions IMMEDIATELY. The Corker bill was written by the White House; its target was to lift the sanctions. The sanctions have been lifted, among other things.

‘How is Cruz NOT a conservative?’

Go back and listen to [or read] Cruz’ Senate speech in favor of his amendment to the Gang of Eight. Twice Cruz says he wants the Go8 to pass. He says it sincerely and earnestly. It appears he’s speaking from the heart.

Cruz didn’t describe his amendment as a poison pill until after Trump made the word ‘legalization’ radiotive. [And Cruz was indeed in favor of legalization; he tweeted to his own followers that he wanted all illegals to be legalized as soon as the border was secure.]

Now according to Cruz’ latter day explanation, just about everything he said in his Go8 Senate speech is a lie—particularly when he *stresses* that he wants the Go8 to pass. I.e..: he SAID he supported the Go8, but it was merely deceit. Again I urge you to watch the speech for yourself, bearing the lie explanation in mind.

Here’s the thing: if he’s telling the truth about lying, there’s a problem. Namely, Cruz lies way, WAY too well. It’s slick; it’s smooth. It’s natural; it’s convincing. And bear in mind, he’s lying bold faced to his Senate colleagues—wow.

Where and how did Cruz learn to lie so well? He’s better than Bill Clinton on his best day. That level of expertise doesn’t just happen. It takes practice. How long has Cruz been at it? What was his motivation to hone this skill to such perfection?

Biggest question of all: how do you know when he’s lying? He stood by his Go8 speech for years. He only revealed it was full tilt lies and deceit when Trump made deportation an issue. If not for Trump, we’d never have known.

There’s nothing conservative about lying and deceiving like a world class pro. Rather, it’s a troubling and creepy talent—and one that should give all Cruz supporters pause.

***If you seriously believe that, now might be the time to show some graciousness to Cruz and his supporters so that they will help Trump when he marches on the victory.***

So basically you’re saying Trump supporters need to kiss up to the Cruz supporters in order for you to vote for Trump. And you do wisely acknowledge that it will be Trump who wins the nomination.

I don’t think so, scooter. You either want Hillary to be your next President or you don’t. In a sane world we both no the answer to that question. I used to like Cruz. Don’t be so invested in one person.
