about 2 months ago Cruz and Trump support were about even, and now Trump is supported by around 80 percent of the forum today.

Many Cruz supporters were run off of this forum or became so disgusted they chose not to participate. The result is that the "caucus" to which you refer is now a tiny little echo chamber of about 200 Trump supporters. Do you see Trump getting 80% anywhere in the real world? He does not yet have a majority vote in any state, only pluralities. Most Republicans want someone else.

In primaries? With 3 or 4 candidates? With millions of dollars being thrown at him by the GOP itself? Not likely. But he's sure got enough to win those primaries.

Cruz wants a two person race. But he will get creamed by Trump in a 2 person race especially with the states coming up.

In the general election he beats Clinton 70-30. Only die hard lefties will vote for her. Republicans will return and vote for him. Many democrats will cross over and vote for Trump. And independents will break for Trump big time. It won't be close.

Trump needs only 51% of the votes in future primaries, not 80% to get to 1237. From now on it is mostly winner take all or winner take most delegates.

They weren’t run off. They ran off and formed another site.

And we watched in real time and read the vile, libelous and juvenile crap that they were posting there about this site and especially jimrob.

Accusing him of living off the FReepathons.

Hard to have any sympathy for those.

I see Cruz getting far, far fewer voters than Trump in the real world.

Except in Texas, for some unfathomable reason.

I see Cruz supporters posting egregious spam with boastful, unsubstantiated numbers, on live returns threads, with NO indication that the numbers are only the wishful thinking of their own fevered imagination.

I see Cruz supporters demanding that their man stay in the race even though he is hundreds of delegates behind and got skunked in what was supposed to be his geographic stronghold.

I see Cruz openly bringing on large segments of the Jeb support team and yet portraying himself as the only possible choice for a movement conservative.

I see mocking diatribes about "70% of the GOP voters voted AGAINST Trump" without realizing that the same metric makes their own candidate fail even harder.

FReepers normally exhibit higher social intellect, and greater sophistication, than this.

More Cruz supporters like myself saw through his facade and became Trump supports. Trump will beat Clinton like a rented mule.

As another FReeper explained, they weren’t ran off...they chose to go (to consistent crybaby site), on their own. That’s after tearing this place down, on their way out.

Stop whining. I’m sure they’d love to hear your complaints, over there.

Votes today are around 250, about on par with many voting days in January when Cruz was doing better. I saw one day in February where there were 350 votes, but that was a good number for Trump. That means that if Cruz supporters really did leave the forum, they were replaced, and the number only improved for Trump. That means if they had stayed, the number would have still improved for Trump.

But we both know that there was no Cruz exodus away from the forum aside from maybe 20 or 30 ***holes, most of whom are still posting under their sock puppet accounts with a few hardcore people sticking it out under their original names.
