BREAKING NEWS: Fox News Just Made A HUGE Announcement – First Time in History!
Political Insider ^ | 3/14/2016

There is no question this Presidential primary season for Republicans has been history making. No one expected it possible to have a contested convention in Cleveland, Ohio… but candidates may be facing that, especially if conservative businessman Donald J. Trump doesn’t win Ohio or Florida on Tuesday.

That’s why Fox News just announced it will host its 4th Republican debate! it will be on March 21… And for the first time ever, the debate will take place in Utah! There has never been a Presidential debate in Beehive State before.

It’s scheduled for the Salt Palace Convention Center at 9pm, just days before the Arizona and Utah Republican primaries. After the debates helping Fox News break their own ratings records, they are certainly happy to host yet another debate between Trump, Ohio Governor John Kasich, and Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) if they all remain in the race.

The moderators will be Bret Baier, Chris Wallace, and the controversial Megyn Kelly.

I hope Trump sweeps tomorrow and then tells the RNC and FOX to stuff their stupid debate.
***************

I wonder how much money RNC and FOX make on these debates? They are motivated to serve themselves, not inform the electorate.

Of course they hope it’s never down to Trump-Cruz.
Cruz wins that one every time.

Trump should challenge Bernie to a dual with light sabers in Madison Square Garden that night and donate all proceeds to veterans.

Back in 1980, PBS did something that worked brilliantly, so much so that the two parties refused to let it happen again. Instead of having "debates" involving the candidates, which would have led to nothing but pre-digested sound bytes, they held genuine debates between the advisors of the candidates, i.e., those who would be expected to serve in the administration of the candidates should they be elected.

The first debate was on economic issues. Arthur Laffer was the captain of Reagan's team, I forget the captain of Carter's team, and Mitch Rogovin was the captain of John Anderson's team. Each captain determined who on his team would go in to make or answer a point. There was cross-questioning, rebuttal and counter-rebuttal. One of my favorite memories was Art Laffer taking the ball himself and eviscerating Rogovin on tax policy.

In the foreign policy debate, Al Haig, captain of the Reagan team, sent Paul Nitze in to sack Paul Warnke and his appeasement-based foreign policy.

These were honest debates, conducted within a strict set of rules, and I learned more from them than I learned from listening to the candidates. I suspect it was the spontaneity of the debates that frightened off the two party establishments.

We need to do this in 2016.

Exactly!

I pray he wins OHIO and Florida.

Then he could tell Fox and the others exactly what you said.

I despise this concerted effort to take him down.

These same cowards didn’t dare go after Obama!

They’re all worried about their cushy jobs because Trump is self-funded. He doesn’t owe any of them anything! Pols and media alike!!

I really don’t need any more debates.

Especially any more Fox “News” debates.

I think I’ll take a pass, I’ve already voted for Trump in Florida.

“Let Trump go, refuse to answer stupid questions, and tell the truth on the GOPe candidates.”

I guess it has escaped your notice that in a one-to-one Trump/Cruz debate THERE WOULD BE NO GOPe CANDIDATES remaining. So no need to discuss the defeated GOPe candidates.

What if Fox News holds a March 21st debate and none of the candidates show up? One can only dream.
