After the cancellation was announced, fights started to break out at the UIC Pavilion, CBS News' Sopan Deb reports.
Ahead of Trump's arrival, hundreds of demonstrators lined up outside the arena to protest the Republican presidential front-runner. I saw it, thanks..
Why are you posting this? Surely you’ve seen the multiple threads already posted, relating to this incident.
Those threads are already up into the hundreds and hundreds of comments.
CBS equates “Trump supporters”
with the blacklivesmatter and La Raza and muslim rioters.
The inmates are running the large cities.
Tonight is a record for FR news forum page. Out of 250 thread titles, 89% either had Trump in the title or were about Trump’s rally today.
Either you or I are late to the party, but it seems that it’s the fault of Ted Cruz.
Go figure.
This will eat up the precious news cycles up to Tuesday. Life is good.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, second in delegates to Trump in the GOP race, said late Friday that the billionaire has created “an environment that encourages this sort of nasty discourse.”
“When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that is escalates,” Cruz said. “Today is unlikely to be the last such incidence.”
No, I was in the hospital.
This was the right decision, for today, but I’m down for the fight if that is what needs to occur...
That’ll be one of their main memes in the morning, a common one for liberals: both sides were equally at fault. Both sides were equivalent. Both sides at fault. Trump’s words MADE them do it.
Marco Rubio, with his absurd comments after Trump’s rally was disrupted by the Leftists, has forever torpedoed his own political career.
Sorry to hear it.
Poke around a bit. This incident is all anyone's talking about tonight. The forum is chock-full of it.
Trump is a genius. He’s controlling the media like they are his puppets by doing nothing other than be himself. The coverage he’s receiving now and through the weekend would cost millions to buy.
Who?
But where would the liberals get the idea that Trump's words made them do it? Oh, that's right, Ted Cruz told them.
