The DOJ and the FBI ups the ante in a new Court Brief threatening that if Apple won't unlock the Terrorist's iPhone, then the FBI will subpoena Apple's entire iPhone source code and completely secret private certificate codes and do it themselves! PING!
FBI threatens Apple by demanding the iOS Crown Jewels

Maybe they should send in the Special Man if they want it so badly.

What are the arrogant G-men going to do, shoot Tim Cook in the back three times like LaVoy Finicum?

One might think that the United States Federal Government is setting up to nationalize the smartphone industry.
I'm having a hard time not envisioning Steve Jobs, if he were still with us, burning down Cupertino and leaving behind a sign saying "I'm leaving it as I found it. Take over. It's yours."

Is it true that Precious Timmy Cook's *real* fear is that the police might someday be able to crack the iPhones of child molesters?

The FBI is really going too far on this one.

Calling Jerry Rivers
There’s nothing on that phone (Al Capone’s vault).
Or just maybe, Trump’s connection to the evil terrorists is on there.
And 32 GB of other incriminating evidence (actual content TBD).

What are they going to do? Stamp their feet? Hold their breath until they turn blue? Have 0bama give a speech (that would really do it).

I guess the nsa is 100% useless. Evidence we can completely eliminate that POS agency altogether.

This is more and more sounding like DOJ shakedown of Apple.
First Microsoft, then Intel...Apple is next.
This could get very bad for our country.
Obama is loosing his mind.

demand their code?
Isn’t the whole point that Apple didn’t PUT a back door code - for the security of uses?

Anyone here seen/remember this picture?
Those art the TSA "master keys" for unlocking airplane luggage. Since airline security has been deemed important, and related rights subject to "intermediate scrutiny", you have the choice of either having your checked-in luggage completely unlocked, or you can get TSA-approved luggage that locks and which the TSA can unlock using one of the above master keys.
But...there's a problem with these master keys. Luggage makers presumably knew it, and complained about it, before consenting to "comply or ______". Sure, TSA insisted, those keys would be kept perfectly safe.
Then, for an article about them, the above picture was taken and published. And within hours, functioning uncontrolled unauthorized copies were made.
THAT is why we don't want the FBI et al having backdoors into our data.

1 - Something is seriously wrong if the FBI doesn’t have some whiz kid or four dozen who can crack the code in moments. Humph, we know they do so what’s with them dragging their heels?
2 - They’re dragging it out as long as they can for some reason. After all this time and they’re merely asking Apple pretty please and now vamping it up to maybe possibly could be a warrant in Apple’s sometime distant future.
