It is going to be tough for Donald Trump‘s detractors to argue that he isn’t a conservative now.
Conservative author, activist and icon Phyllis Schlafly today in St. Louis gave her endorsement to Trump for president.
“I asked him to stand by the Republican platform because we have the best conservative platform we’ve ever had and he endorses it. He will stand by it. He is a real conservative and I ask you to support him,” she said to a raucous ovation.
“I’m confident that Donald Trump will appoint judges like (Antonin) Scalia,” she added.
Schlafly said that “we’ve been following the losers for so long,” but that would change with Trump.
“Now we’ve got a guy who’s gonna lead us to victory!” she said.
The endorsement came on the same day Dr. Ben Carson gave his support to the Republican presidential front-runner who, at this point, looks unstoppable.

You admit that you lied!
You dumped the “idol cologne” on my proposal. It never had any before then.
Can God chew gum and hop on one foot at the same time? I give Him credit for that. I also see many biblical ways a Trump Caesar can dovetail with a non-Caesar (but by no means publicly silent) church. You of little faith.
As an American and a Christian, I DON'T WANT A CEASAR. WE WERE NEVER INTENDED TO HAVE A CAESAR. So sad that so many of you apparently do.
A secular government beholden to a religious people was NEVER meant to be a caesar.
But a Caesar you shall have, and indeed already have.
But the fact you even ACCUSE idolatry speaks volumes about YOUR misconception. That Caesar and church need to be married.
I think, just like Trump and Trump’s past wives, the divorce could be quite amicable. And if it had to happen, Trump is about as auspicious a circumstance.
Your accusation is like accusing Nehemiah of idolizing Cyrus the Great.
This would not mean that some other disaster may come down the road. We know where the world heads in general. But is this the end of the line for America? I say God does not give up that fast. Because God is not counting the creches at city halls. He’s counting them in our hearts.
So Trump is your Caesar.

And some wonder why I assert that this people want a king. You just illustrated it for everyone.

Quibble if you want. You can not have a quasi Christian amalgam.
You can have a small-d democratic caesar. This is a representative republic governed by secular rules. However the attempt to forge a church state amalgam will first hide a lot of evil and then fail. The bible makes that a foregone conclusion. God seems to be trying to save us from that fate, and you keep on kicking against the goads.
Who in hell is hailing Caesar?

I don't have to accuse you of anything. Your own words revealed it.
You only get there by quibbling about what Caesar means.
Let me set the record straight. Yes I know the actual Caesar was actually idolized. Yet Jesus still used the term.
Most evangelicals generalize this out to mean secular government. Even if in fact its ministers do not believe themselves to be gods. This is the sense I mean. Now you can either accept that or keep on clinging to your misunderstanding and lying. Your choice.
Showcases how absolutely and hopelessly clueless you are if you think what we have now is a representative republic.

It is de jure. Whether it is de facto, is another question. You know you have been out-argued and are using any old misrepresentation and insult to try to save face.
And part of the reason it fails to be thus de facto, is because of that very patina, that very whitewash, of being religious! Yes, religious excuses are used by liberals too! They cherry pick bible principles, just as “conservatives” do. It fails because God never ordained it to run that way. We only get preachy over-moralistic madness.
Confess that it isn’t religious, embrace a church that does not pretend that these “secular rulers” are religious, and you are well on your way back to sanity from the madness where you are now.
Many people I respect have endorsed Trump.
I would never vote Kasich or Rubio, but I don’t lose respect for anyone who does choose to vote for either one of those men. I consider Kasich or Rubio supporters uninformed.
Many people I no longer respect have endorsed Bernie or Hillary. Anyone who votes for either of these people is not uninformed, they are enemies of the constitution.
I voted Cruz absentee for this Tuesday’s election. However, I will vote Trump if he is the nominee.

Talking about what ought to be, and talking about what exists now, are not synonymous.
