Trumpster to Rush Limbaugh: Ted Cruz Thinks I'm Dumb
Rush Limbaugh ^ | March 10, 2016

Posted on 03/10/2016 2:20:35 PM PST by VitacoreVision

CALLER: Rush, the reason for my call is I wanted to ask if you saw -- it was up on Drudge earlier -- where Cruz had referred to Trump supporters, borrowing a term from you, as "low information."

RUSH: Yes, I saw that.

CALLER: So, as a Trump supporter, just to put it out there, you know, for me at this point, I kind of had two issues watching Cruz. Up until now, I've heard him lecture a lot about, you know, what's a real conservative and what does it mean to be a real conservative, and he lectures there, and I'm looking at, you know, the discharge papers on my wall from the US Army. I'm looking at my time in the private sector. It says, "Hey, I think he knows what it means to be a conservative," number one, and now he just calls me dumb. So here's my recommendation to Ted Cruz, and I think he can take a note from a guy like Donald Trump. You want my vote, Ted? Earn it. Trump is out there as a leader earning votes. Cruz is out there trying to make me feel like I do or don't qualify for his definition of what it means to be a conservative, and, at the same time, stealing a page from your playbook about Democrats calling me, a Republican, dumb. Not the way to earn my vote, Ted.

Support the Cruz/Bush team and you too can become an intelligent, conservative outsider.

I’ve also grown tired of people telling me I’m not a conservative simply because I’m not on the same team as them

psssst....maybe they are telling you that you aren't conservative because you don't support conservative candidates.

I’d guess he quite well off, and it’s probably hid offshore somewhere.

Trump supporters are Trump supporters because they are high info. Why else would they support him?

Please. This guy’s never gonna vote for Cruz.

I would think Rush would have more respect than to call us Trump supporters “Trumpsters”. I'm used to the low class Cruz supporters doing so.

Well if Ted Cruz is so smart, why ain’t he rich?

Well, maybe cuz he is in the “PUBLIC SERVANT” tradition as in Harry (I made all my boys rich) or Ol’Denny Hastert and his land deals???

I like Cruz, so I hate to say I agree with that.

But yes, he does let his Ivy League show through at times.

That and the Elmer Gantry act is offputting to a whole lot of voters.

I have supported all the so called conservative candidates to what avail. The so called most conservative is now in bed with Goldman Sachs. I love it. God the constitution and Goldman. Same old same old. When it comes right down to it Ted is a boring lawyer.

Just sayin', but if I were Trump, it might be smart, considering the DRUDGE headline today, to have a certain kind of seminar caller. These callers would distract conservatives from a chink in Trump's armor. That chink is that Trump hasn't staked out many conservative positions without major caveats and weaving back and forth. Like saying he would appoint his abortion-supporting sister to the Supreme Court. And saying Planned Parenthood does great things. And saying nothing about gay marriage. And a few more.

The callers would accuse Cruz, who makes a big deal over being consistent in conservative positions, of being a pointy-head Democrat.

What closed the case for me was hearing the guy complain at the end, about how Cruz was trying to make him "feel." It sounds like consultant-speak.

That's if Trump were smart. And I do think he's smart.

Trump: "We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated. We're the smartest people. We're the most loyal people. And you know what I really am happy about —because I've been saying it for a long time — 46% with the Hispanics." [Nevada] "Forty six percent. Number one with Hispanics. I'm really happy about that. So. Thank you. So, I'm very proud of you. This is an amazing night and, you know, I love the country. I love the country."

Limbaugh: That's Trump. Humble before and to his supporters. People don't see humility in Trump. The people are outraged by him — the people that can't believe he's winning, the people that can't believe reasonable people would support him — they don't see any of this. They only see what scares them, what frightens them, what angers them, and they think everybody else should.

But Trump signals directly to his supporters often... that he is deeply appreciative... "We won with the highly educated; we won with the poorly educated" — he's simply acknowledging he loves them, too.

I mean, they were surveyed. The exit polls sampled the people that voted... and in the group of people that did not have high school diploma, Trump won. He referred to 'em as "poorly educated," not "stupid" ... not "ignorant" or "dumb." He was not insulting them, and he was not calling them low-information. He was praising them, and they heard that.

“I disagree with Ted. I don’t think you are dumb, I think you are a frigin’ retard!”

I’m sure you’ve come to terms with constant embarrassment.

How about hiring a bunch of trolls to log onto conservative websites like Free Republic to trash, slander and vilify anyone and everyone who dares dissent from the Trumpery? That might be a smart idea too, dontcha think?
