Former Trump butler Tony Senecal defended Donald Trump in an interview with CNN's Carol Costello this morning.
"He's an incredibly generous person. He's been generous to his employees. He's generous to strangers. He's an entirely a nice guy. He's not the gruff person that people make him out to be. Sure, you attack him, he's going to fight back. But most of the time he's just a nice man. I lasted with him for 20 years, he had to be pretty good," Senecal said.
Senecal defended Trump as a patriot who wants what is best for the country.
"His interest in the American people. His patriotism. The man was born on Flag Day. He's a very patriotic person -- ahem, excuse me -- and he wants what's best for this country," he told CNN.
The former butler called BS on claims that Trump's water, magazine and steak businesses were unsuccessful ventures.
"That it wasn't true that he didn't have the water, that he didn't have the magazine, that he didn't have a steak. It is all bull," Senecal said.

Ok, he was a butler and "nice guy" does not equal hero necessarily.

So now Trump gets his butler’s endorsement and this is news.

You can always tell the character of a person on how they treat the help. True story - I had Rosie O’Donnell and took my wife to the taping - she is a fan - I am not. While on air she was a darling but when they went to commercial break she became a monster to her staff - yelling at them in front of the audience, etc. This was before the Trump feud. My wife never watched her show again.

LOL. I can relate. Especially, since they'll be handling your food, it pays to be nice. I tend to be not very chatty, because its just not generally in my nature, but if something is wrong, I'll try to let them know in a good way. For instance, was out last night, and the place had the weakest tea I've seen in ages. I had to ask if they had any tea with tea in it. :-)

PS: This was before Rosie came out as gay - this was when she was pretending she was straight and hot for Tom Cruise or some such. Lot’s of female tourists from places that to my New York sensibilities seem to have been from Iowa or Kansas or some middle American place like that were in her audience.
I don’t think it’s necessary to be chatty. A lot of waiters are leery of chatty folks because they suspect they’re going to get stiffed on the tip! I always make sure after a chatty conversation to tip well. I just think being nice to servers is important. But if something is amiss with the meal, definitely speak up. And if the service is lousy, complain!
She’s infamous for that type of behavior. In her later career, she didn’t even bother being a darling on air.

When Trump decided not to fire Miss USA Tara Conner after revelations of drug use, underage drinking and sexual activities, the co-owner of the Miss USA pageant raised some eyebrows. "I've always been a believer in second chances. Tara is a good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance," Trump said on December 19. Conner was allowed to keep her crown but had to go to rehab. The next day O'Donnell, who was a co-host of "The View" at the time, criticized his decision, saying that she doesn't "enjoy" Trump and said he went bankrupt -- a claim Trump continues to deny, most recently at Thursday's GOP debate. She added that Trump is "not a self-made man" but a "snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie," and she proceeded to slam his multiple marriages: "[He] left the first wife -- had an affair. [He] had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend." Following those comments, Trump fired back at the comedian and told People Magazine that O'Donnell is "a real loser" and "a woman out of control." "You can't make false statements. Rosie will rue the words she said," referencing her claims that he went bankrupt. "I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements -- and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie."
I agree.
But, but, if I don’t vote for Cruz, he will think I am stupid and his buddy, Beck, says I’ll go to hell. His wife sees the face of God when she looks at him and his dad says his son will lead us in the coming Rapture.
Oh my....
