Attorney General Loretta Lynch indicated Wednesday that the law doesn't require the Justice Department to pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email system, even if the FBI recommends criminal charges.
Lynch was asked in a hearing by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, what her department would do if the FBI were to recommend that step. "If the FBI were to make a referral to the Department of Justice to pursue a case by way of indictment and to convene a grand jury for that purpose, the Department of Justice is not required by law to do so, are they are you?" Cornyn asked.

When has O depended on exiting interpretations of laws that do not support his whims? He could easily say 'I pardon everyone one in my administration of all crimes real or imagined to keep those nasty Republicans from trying to demean my great works plus I also deem it that they never have to testify if it would ever hurt their potential gig witha television network.'
Prosecutorial discretion for treason, just like prosecutorial discretion for illegals. Liberals love being above the law. January 20, 2017, cannot come soon enough.
Certainly I am no expert, but the only person I know of who has forgiven all past, present, and future sins, Is Christ the Lord...
“Reagan had masterfully overcome the false “right wing lunatic” narrative, vs. a very unpopular and failed incumbent.”

You don’t think Trump was initially identified as a lunatic?
Obama isn’t a failure? Wait until Trump starts to unload on his and Hillary’s failed foreign policy, border security, and PC wars.
And Reagan didn’t overcome Carter until after both conventions were completed and they debated one another one-on-one.
There is plenty of time.
Last year the FBI leaked that the investigation was two pronged. The other prong which has not been covered by the media is corruption in office. That’s the biggie. It’s bribery and tax evasion.
Don’t you have to be indicted or convicted for a pardon to do anything?
If you were accused but had no formal charges, pardons shouldn’t mean anything if new charges come up.
Or it means her VP selection becomes President.
Do you think the Obama administration prefers Hillary or Sanders?
If she's elected we'll still have a corrupt Congress and they will never do anything to rock the boat.
Yes, he is. He was also assistant to John Ashcroft. Read up on him. He’s not a yes man for Obama.
Of course we see Obama as a failure, but we aren't representative of the electorate at large anymore. The country has moved hard left since the days of Reagan.
Lynch officially requested her name be withdrawn from any SCOTUS consideration yesterday.
Probably Comrade Bernie, though. He’s awfully-stupid. Protect Hillary in a rigged game.
OTOH, Hillary probably is one of the few people with access to enough dirt to take this fraud down; so he has to walk a careful line.
Hillary is campaigning against Trump but he isn’t campaigning against her. That all changes after he wins the nomination. Current polls are worthless.
Do we know for a fact that a grand jury has been convened?
I only remember the FBI raiding the offices of my former Congressman, 3 weeks before an election. No charge were ever filed. I can’t comprehend the FBI needing a grand jury before they issue charges...but maybe they do on “some” government officials. Did they do every step in that chart for Petraeus?
Even if she charged with a felony offense, any information she has on Obama would be essentially nullified. If she tried to use it, she would be accused of making things up to save her own skin. If she has anything, she needs to strike first - if she dares.
Fair enough.
At the same time, Carter wasn’t under investigation by the FBI when running, either. (Clintoon is)

Can she be pardoned if no charges are brought? Maybe it would be good for no charges from DOJ. Then the new AG could bring the charges next year when she could no longer be pardoned by BHO.
