My husband and I just saw the the new Gerard Butler movie “London has Fallen.” Frightening portrayal of the long burning evil planning the muzzies put into their acts of terror, and how feasible it is that they could infiltrate into our defense and emergency systems to cause chaos, mayhem and murder. May we be as fierce and as ruthless as Butler’s character, Banning, is in his response to the attacks. I would pray they will never come, but our borders are not secure, our PC society has weakened our leaders, our military is exhausted, our people are divided by race, economy, religion, lifestyle, politics; and this president is a failure. God help us!

I would estimate that having jihadist Islam as an enemy is a rather stark way of putting the lessons, once we get spiritually on the ball again.
One thing, a bunch of churches nominally talking about Jesus won’t help.
I’d argue paradoxically that having a weaker presentation of Jesus in official “government led” culture might be a blessing in disguise. The churches now KNOW they can’t coast. A few years ago I got a reminder of this when a Baptist church I had visited passed out a copy of a letter from FDR it had received many decades back, begging for Social Security law support. Now for a church that’s pretty cheap and easy to do. No skin in it taxwise, and a lighter charity load... what earthly person would refuse? But we aren’t supposed to be earthly. We’re supposed to be pedal to the metal invested in heaven.
I like to joke, and maybe it isn’t even a joke, that if kids were even as dedicated to God as to “Frozen” going into schools, we wouldn’t have a problem with God not being in schools. Atheistic administrators would be complaining they could not get God out with a crow bar. A few parents are getting a clue now, with private praise players for kids... this is not rocket science but it is rocket powered theology.
I think he was following along with the joke started with the “oh, please don’t hurt George clooney” post. Plus if you realize the geography, ISIS could do LA and Hollywood with one nuke. And since I would be affected, I’m only joking as well.

Well, I’m a native Angeleno, so I know the layout of SoCal quite well. I’ve also got generations of family both living and dead there, so I guess I’m guilty of failing to find humor in the joke about nuking the place.
