Ted Cruz says he would have no problem with a contested convention over the summer in the event neither he nor Donald Trump secures enough delegates before then to lock up the Republican presidential nomination.
Trump suggested Wednesday morning on "Fox and Friends" that Cruz was making the statement "because he had such a bad night last night."

Nice name calling. I believe strongly Crus is GOP establishment and the events of the past week having him showing it more. Most people who know me do not consider me to be an idiot. Read his and wifey’s resumes with a critical eye and get back to me. If you had done that the whole Neil Bush thing, TPA vote and Corker bill vote would not be big surprises. If you see anything in Cruz’s resume that says Bushy/GOP outsider, let me know because I can’t find it. I feel bad for not doing more research before I voted for the Canadian citizen for Senator in 2012.
My God. Where do y’all come up with some of this?
“Trump or Ryan/Cruz unity ticket. Book it. Thats why Cruz is kissing up to the GOP.”
Yep. The GOPE will let Cruz keep his “anti-establishment outsider” status and install him as Ryan’s VP as a “conciliatory” gesture. And some Cruz ppl will lap it up, thinking they’re truly getting a compromise from the GOPE. They’ll fall hook, line and sinker.
And then the bloodbath in Cleveland will begin. Ugh. These people are insane. And they think WE’RE the ones with no brain mass.
How does this make him establishment.
Contested convention is a reality if no one reaches 1237.
Now, a brokered convention, THAT would be disastrous. He even said so.
No ‘brokered’ means brings some additional party in like Romney in.
Huge distinction. A horse trading /deal making contest between Cruz and Trump is very.
Most see the distinction.
If no one has the votes, it will be a contested convention.
That isn’t debatable.
Why would he do that?
Contested convention doesn’t mean GOPE picks the guy.
Of course Cruz is ok with it he is one the bought and paid for establishment boys. He was on the bench for Bush all along. There needs to be a Beck’ing as in Beck him like a Bork’ing.
No more Bush dynasty influence in our White House.
No more Bush loser leadership.
Contested and brokered seem to me like two ways of saying the same thing but that is what lawyers generally do. Hopefully Trump gets 1237 and we will not have to find out if I am right.
NO MORE BUSH DYNASTY LOSER LEADERSHIP, NO MORE BUSH INFLUENCE
Yeah sure....and that’s why Bushie voters are voting for trump....
How do you explain that?
It’s not an opinion or a “seems to be” situation. They are not the same thing. Bottom line.
It’s not so much GOP shenanigans at that point as most delegates are still bound. When all the delegates become unbound, it’s brokered, THEN that’s when you watch for estab shenanigans.
they are editing recent versions of Heidi Cruz’ resume.

Exactly right.
Good to see you, MK buddy!
Reagan handled the media with grace, charm and a smile.
And you know it just infuriated them even further, because they enjoyed it in spite of themselves...
