I had to hit the mute button. Trump just rambles in his long winded “press conferences”, jumping from one topic to another every minute or two, without ever expressing a key theme in his talk about the issues about which Conservatives are concerned. ....He got another free half-hour or so in campaign advertising on TV touting his brand.

Two of his best zingers from this presser:

First, referring to the colossal waste of some $138 million spent on negative ads by his competitors this week to try to knock him off: “I think this shows that advertising isn’t as important as competence.”

And then, referring to how Rubio went nasty at the last debate: “Hostility works for some people. It didn’t work for Marco.”

To paraphrase Krauthammer, Trump’s speech looked as if given by someone with bipolar disorder.

So Little Donald calls Cruz, "Lying Ted," on the basis that Cruz' claim he is the only candidate that has repeatedly beaten the Donald is bogus because Trump has more victories. Excuse me, but what he just said was a "lie" just happenes to be objectively true: Cruz has beaten Trump repeatedly. That makes Trump the liar for misrepresenting an obvious fact, but that isn't the real problem with the statement.

I went to a fancy prep school, just like Trump did. I've met scads of spoiled brats just like him, people who expect the world to bow and scrape, and will attack anybody who doesn't with abandon. It makes them brittle, bordering irrational when it doesn't happen. Trump hates to lose so much, even a small setback turns him into a raving loon. This is a very perilous attribute in a Commander in Chief.

A lot of what he does and says makes more sense if you have read “The Art of the Deal.” It also makes his bombast less scary since it is mostly a tactic based on reading the book.

He spent an hour bragging about himself, and apparently that seems to work for a lot of people. I don’t get it.

Who the man (Trump) himself is and how he does things

From day one of Trump's campaign, the incredible difference was that Trump spoke to EVERYONE. A lot of the message will make life better for that 47% of the population whose votes Romney refused to even campaign for. Trump NEVER insulted any group, his rallies are about an inclusive USA where everyone is included.

For Romney, who never wanted to represent the people, to come out with that venom against Trump was beyond disgusting. It exposed the elite for what they are. Anyone who doesn't distance themselves from those who would steal the nomination from Trump should be voted out of office, for that reason alone. And for Romney to accuse Trump of bigotry is bizarre.

Romney is one sick man. Trump is the guy whose inclusive and respects the aspirations of all US citizens. It's way past time for the elite of the Republican Party to lock themselves in their gated, guarded enclaves.

That’s EXACTLY how a guilty criminal feels when the cops have all the evidence proving he’s guilty and he keeps trying to not confess

I get that Trump used a lot of the free time the media gave him last night to shill for his brand. Hey, it’s a free country, and he’s still a businessman. What I don’t get is why he’s hustling products of his that no longer exist, like Trump Steaks. In fact, that little entity went out of business because the steaks were downright terrible.

I believe that it was just rubbing it in the faces of the media types who were trying to use those brands to attack him.

I choose to not select my president based on his screaming infomercials. Most of the items sold via infomercials are crap, this one included.
