Just got back from voting. Polling gals said moderate turnout. Main gal said, "For it just being Republican today, we're having moderate turnout." (Dem primary is March 22) There were people in front of me and behind me - which is big for our little place. Wife and I voted for Trump.

Ben Carson, now Michigan...
Looks like the Bush dynasty falling in behind the Ted Bush campaign didn’t help.

I heard Trump on Hannity today. Said he has a big hotel there with lots of workers. Maybe that will be a good thing.

Ive been trying to figure out why we never see Cruz wearing a proper business suit. Every time I see him lately, hes wearing blue jeans - like Beck - with an ill-fitting suit coat on top.Whats that about? Is it supposed to make him seem like US? and is he getting advice similar to that purportedly given by Naomi Wolfe to Gore, to wear earth tones?
Just an observation.

He's *losing*. Heidi cut off his allowance.
More likely, focus group polling: Trump is going after the 47% that Romney schlonged himself with. They don't identify with Harvard Law grads, but *do* identify with scrappy, slightly mismatched in style. Not 'hoity-toity' you understand, one of "us".
Somewhere I read an analysis of Trump, that he is winning the blue collars because to them he comes off as, say, a plumber who struck it rich, married the trophy wife, and is "living the dream" . I think it is because he made his money not as a banker, nor a currency speculator, but as a construction magnate. When you see a Trump tower, you say, "He *built* that." (suck on it, Obama, with your '"you didn't build that"). And that is something earthy and eyeball friendly that the common man can relate to: "If he built something that classy and expensive," they say to themselves, "then he deserves a little something for his trouble. Go, Donald, you're one of us. Sticking it to The Man."
Cruz, with all his erudition, just makes it worse with his incessant resting bitch face.

I came to this thread hoping to learn something useful about the primaries tonight. Instead, I run into a bunch of idiots, liars, and phonies. Is this what FR has become?
To: Shortstop7
Trump up 32,000 votes in Michigan now, beating Cruz by 50,000 votes.
