On Super Tuesday, Donald Trump continued his surprise series of wins, gaining seven out of the 11 states in play that day. In response, many are asking: Why have establishment candidates had such a hard time in this years Republican nomination contest?
Some suggest that Republicans who bother to vote in the primaries are farther to the right than the Republicans as a whole and are unimpressed with the somewhat more moderate establishment candidates. Others suggest that less-educated citizens who dont usually vote are turning out just to vote for Trump.

It’s the WaPo does anyone believe anything they write.
I’m for Trump.
But I’ll take Cruz any day over Hillary.
She must be defeated.
Think of the Supreme Court.
As much as the media and establishment hate Cruz, it is amazing that they would want him over Trump.
That is why I want Trump
Its the WaPo does anyone believe anything they write. ........... No, because they didn’t put in the fact that many of the old democrats feel the same way.
The last seven years were a test for the GOP. They had ample opportunity to show us who they were. We found out who they weren't. They failed the test. End of story.
which is why I want Trump too.
When I see the establishment getting cozy with someone now I go against them.
Trump is showing us who the traitors are too.
When you see people who was or are supposed to be on our side saying they will stay at home or vote for Clinton then see the amount of money being spent on attack AD;s here by the establishment then it speaks for itself.

“Others suggest that less-educated citizens who dont usually vote are turning out just to vote for Trump” .............. I guess I was wrong, I didn’t catch it, they do see it, but worded it so it looked like it was only the republicans. Less educated citizens? I guess that means Republicans must have moved to the heavily Democrat areas?
I will be happy to vote for either or both, and that's something that hasn't changed since before the Donald's "schlonged" statement at the Deltaplex, just a few miles from here. ANY Pubbie will be preferable to Hitlery or Sanders, PERIOD, I'm just glad that I won't have to hold my nose to vote this year.
Well put.
If you know Cruz and his wife’s background than you know they are establishment.
Right on!
This is true. In fact, he’s closer to what most Americans believe than most establishment candidates of any party.
Trump is essentially Romney with a comb over. He is a deal maker, he and McConnell will get along swell.
Sorry Wa-Poo, that one won’t work either.
tagline...
That is why Mitch called on Mitt and McCain to trash Trump and Lindsey Graham to look to Cruz?
For me there is no longer a choice of Trump or Cruz. It is just Trump. period.
