Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Sunday that there's a "much bigger upside than downside" in the Republican presidential candidacy of real estate developer Donald Trump.
"I think with the case of Trump, theres a much bigger upside than downside," said Limbaugh while appearing on "Fox News Sunday."

“I would love to see the lobbyists run out of town.”
That won’t happen until voters are made the bosses again.
I wrote a proposal on how to do that...

It's Trump on nuclear proliferation...remember Clinton gave North Korea nukes, and that both the US and Russia have tested ICBMs quite loudly and publicly the last couple of weeks; and Kerry and Obama basically gave Iran nukes.
“Have you heard Limbaugh say Vote for Cruz, not for Trump?
If you do then get back to me and Ill send you a gift
card for Chic Filet if you can prove it.”
Did I say that Rush had “endorsed” Cruz?
No.
I merely asked the question, what more could he add to his support of Cruz than just come out and say vote for Cruz.
He can’t offer anymore support than he already has. To maintain that he has refrained from “I hereby endorse Ted Cruz” as if it should made a difference is laughable. Cruz runs an ad on the radio with an audio bit from Rush with praise that effectively eliminates all other candidates.
We should cut their staff, budget and other perks. They need to have the laws they pass on us apply to them. In other words, stop treating them like royalty- they are not.
Give me a break. How much time has Limbaugh spent
defending Trump over the last many months? The partisans
seem to have tin ears these days. They ignore the
good things Limbaugh says about their candidate and
get all paranoid when he says good things about another
candidate. I hope that doesn’t describe you. Does it?
But when you say “we need to do this or that...” how do you propose to do that?
The politicians we elect are the ones that pass those laws, and they do that because they think they’re the bosses. And who can blame them when we surrender our power to them with multi-year no-fire contracts.
What my proposal would do is make us the people the bosses again. It would keep our employees, the politicians, on a very short leash.
“Which is why it is important to keep the Senate and House in Republican control. We may need the leverage to use on Trump”

Agreed ...bears repeating!!! (and I’m a Trump supporter; although Ted is my second choice)
Rush’s approach has been more of an attack on the drive-bys than a spirited defense of Trump.
When Rush said that Cruz is the closest this generation has to RR, case closed. But it’s not an endorsement. LOL. See if you can find anything equally as gushing from Rush about DT.
I was venting about the corruption. If we elected people who would just serve one term and leave as the Founders intended a lot would be solved. But the perks and power are so seductive most succumb.
Cruz promises to weaken the federal government and return power to the States and that would also help immensely.
You must only listen to Limbaugh selectively. He has
said good things about most GOP candidates. No doubt
there are Cruz partisans who think he supports Trump
and certainly vice versa.
Trump could easily construct a campaign ad which implies
that Limbaugh supports him. Even Rubio could do the same.
Some of you just don’t get Limbaugh. To his credit or
discredit he will not knowingly say something during
the primaries that will bite him when he supports
whomever emerges as the GOP candidate in the general.
You would need a constitutional amendment for federal offices, not states or local. Most states have propositions systems where voters themselves can propose lawslaws, thus bypassing the politicians. If the idea takes hold at the state level then a constitutional amendment at the federal level is much more likely.
Term limits may actually make matters worse. Think about it, if an unscrupulous politician knows he doesn’t have to face the voters again do you think he would listen to them more than if he was running again?
I’m not necessarily against term limits, but it surely wouldn’t solve the problem we’re talking about.
“Rush supports whatever brings in $ for himself. It’s his job. “
That your two cents?
STILL Limbaugh does not only endorse Cruz. Why?
Because although he may believe Cruz is most like RR
he just may believe that Cruz does not have the best
chance of beating HRC. His priority has always been
anti liberal Dem, anti MSM more than pro any particular
GOP primary candidate. And, no doubt part of that is
a business decision.
Well we are in a mess with overreaching regulations, the lack of enforceable borders, the promotion of climate change nonsense, immigration policies inviting in the enemy, and the debt that Zero doubled. This election is vital to reigning in the federal behemoth.
You are correct.
The problem is we think that electing different people will fix the problem. Look how well that’s worked out when we gave the Republicans both houses of Congress.
No, giving different people the same long term no-fire contracts will not solve the problem. More often than not, they will be co-opted like all others. And it’s not because politicians are worse than you and me, it’s simply that like you and me they will look after their self interests above all.
So you have to change the system so that politicians will keep the voters interests on the front burner, because if they don’t they’ll be out on their asses in short order. In other words what this system would do is make the voters interests the politicians interests too.
It’s like an employee who will try to please the boss if he wants a raise or keep the job.
Re: Far away from Beck”
For sure, he wouldn’t need Beck’s constant berating Trump if he were part pf Trump’s team.
However, I do fear a major blow-up if he were to dump Back.
So would you.
