..... A loss of the WH in 2016 will be the end of the GOP as a national player and the end of the country as we know it. The stakes are enormous. We need someone who will be vicious and brutal in order to do what is necessary to win. Another milquetoast Rep candidate like McCain and Romney will lose. We must be willing to make it personal and have a candidate who can attract more Dems and Independents along with increasing GOP turnout to win............

As good as it gets.As we have said before the GOP needs a candidate who can cross party lines, bring in a few dems who have not already been totally brainwashed, attract most of the indys and most all of the pubbies.

Now who could that candidate be.

Yet all they do is trash Trump.

This shows they are more interested in maintaining their current power base and the status quo than they are the survivability of the nation.Sad.

NO question at all. IMHO and many others the entire administration has been in destruction mode of both the country and the Republican party ever since they came into power. It remains to be seen who will stop them.Right now we have high hopes for Trump.

Thanks for posting this Alas B.
I am at a loss for words as to why things have become so hostile here. Why support a site when you might be insulted on it for sharing a thought or an opinion? This is happening on many sites it seems.FB is worse than ever.
I have also turned off talk radio. I was a long time listener to Rush and Levin and others, but I found myself getting really angry with them. And then, listening to Romney try and take out a leading candidate from his own party, then tell “the little people” how they needed to vote, was the final straw. The sheer arrogance of the Republican elite is breathtaking.

Try to also be the kind of person you are face-to-face from behind the keyboard.

Thank you. Very well said.

If someone is going to breathlessly announce VOTER FRAUD on the basis of rigged machines, they ought to take the trouble to find out whether the machines were even used in the voting in the first place.

The winner of any debate is the biggest policy wonk on the stage.

Trump shreds the "policy wonks" without breaking a sweat...

Trump doesn't have "Teflon" or even Kevlar

Trump has a built in active armor

His response in debate is instantaneous (no focus groups involved), on target and massive.

Followed up by more of the same.

If Trump wins in Mississippi on Tuesday, he will have swept most of the region. And he is ahead in NC, if you can believe the polls.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trump doesn't seem to have much of a ground game. I'm thinking he is relying too much on polls. What are the chances of some of these polls being manipulated as another way of defeating him? In other words, the polls favoring him are being overstated on purpose to give him a false sense of security.

You do realize that homosexuals have one of the highest suicide rates of any groups. Most have been raped as children and never are able to come to grips with the guilt and mental issues like depression etc.

Your blaming his parents are a bit much.

"Virtually every successful businessman of any note has used [bankruptcies]."

You could hardly be more wrong than that statement. There's an old Indian name for unsuccessful 'risk takers' - failures.

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Wait until Hillary gets the nomination and the media really turns on Trump. There’s enough ammunition in just the debates to paint him as a stuck on tantrum three year old.

Agreed. The preservation of ideological purity is more important than winning. I have never seen such vicious tactics used against the front-runner by the conservative media. NR dedicated an entire issue to take down Trump. They trot out Romney to do a hit job. Ryan reinforces the despicable charge that Trump supports the KKK and David Duke.

Trump has introduced new energy into a dying party. The GOPe and other opponents don't seem to understand that by calling Trump a con man and a fraud, they are attacking his voters as being stupid and easily duped. How will that work out if Trump is the nominee or not?

Trump will win Ohio. The Cubans laid off thinking Trump and “favorite son” Kasich would dominate. Now Trump has it in his grasp.

And Hillary ain't seen nothing yet once Trump trains his guns on her. This is going to be a very vicious brutal campaign that will get very personal. My money is on the Donald who along with Roger Stone have a ton of dirt on the Clintons.

Trump no doubt has some interesting tidbits he has learned about them during his days of dealing with and donating to the Dems. Look to Bill's trips with Epstein to pedophile island to be publicized.

All the old Clinton scandals will be resurrected including personal attacks by some of Bill's bevy of abused and raped women. And you can bet there will be no quarter on Benghazi as some of the heroes have already endorsed Trump.

Trump is not going to be a reprise of McCain and Romney who shied away from getting personal on Obama despite having a gigantic arsenal of ammunition. When it comes to trading insults, the bare-knuckle street brawler from Queens has no equal.
