"In no way, whatsoever, will Cruzers stand by and let the GOPe steal this nomination away from Trump in a Brokered Convention!"

Trump has slowed the attacks since super Tuesday and EVERYONE is attacking him hard and without mercy. Which would be OK if everyone else were being vetted too but it’s a love in for the rest and they call Trump a racist. Spit

Even though I firmly believe Ted Cruz is a NBC, of course the Democrats still won't hesitate to use such innuendo to damage him.

If they did then all they're doing is picking up where Trump left off.

then eight years is price of apprenticeship...

Or the path to obscurity. Only one sitting vice president has been elected president since 1836. Cruz knows that.

At this point Trump or Cruz could enter the convention with a plurality of votes, inadequate for an outright win.

The GOPe hates them both, Cruz more so.

Although there is a logical case to be made for a scenario where the 2nd or even 3rd place finisher should get the nomination, due to extremely high negatives. It is in reality a party ending move and will totally cripple the nominee.

Cruz is competing to be Trump’s VP at this point.

Pretty dismissive of the actual votes aren't you. No one wants to be Trump's VP.

You are right Cruz could affect this country for a lifetime instead of 4-8 years as SCJ.

I assumed you were not counting on that as Cruz's path to the White House.

No. Just pointing out facts.

Then the fact is that only one sitting vice-president has been elected president since Martin Van Buren. That is not a path to the presidency.

How many candidates that have handled themselves as Donald Trump has in his campaign have won the presidency or even been a front runner? Times change.

Vote you conscience. But does that include the territories? What about military brats? What about born at sea or in the air? What about easy staff? Do you include anchor babies?

I did not vote for McCain either. (Voted 3rd Party)

We will never fix it if we go down this road.

No Marco Rubio, No Nikki Haley, No Bobbi Jindal, No Ted Cruz.

We have never had a “foreign born” president. I will not participate in starting that trend.

It’s the only job in our entire govt. that requires it; and its required for good reason.

The First order of business at the 2016 Republican Convention should be to repeal Rule 40.

I do not vote for liberals, democrats, the mentally unstable or those with severe personality disorders nor will I knowingly vote for a Rino. Trump falls into some if not all these categories including Rino.

Without Rule 40 there should be no problem, If Trump or Cruz meets the criteria WITHOUT rule 40 they should be the nominee. Rule 40 was passed by a questionable voice vote at the last Convention and a roll call was denied. I believe it was also done while the Virginia delegation which opposed it was being given a ride around on a bus from the hotel to the convention site by a “lost” bus driver.

Rule 40 was put in for a situation like we have at this time where the Republican base is in revolt against the GOP-e and is a way for the GOP-e to fraudulently retain power and control.

Hillary Clinton is THE original birther. The Cruz NBC issue was raised by a Democrat in Florida, Alan Grayson. It will not be lost upon any Democrats that Cruz was involved in the Bush/Gore recount, as an “insider”.

The irony will be too delicious for the Democrats...unless you believe they are a forgiving group....

I would add to your comment that also a presidential candidates original birth certificate should be revealed. What is Obama hiding? I noticed that after Trump brought up his bc, the media started turning on him.

My take on the winners and losers in the GOP race:
Trump has remained Trump, no surprises other than that he has done better than I expected. For example, winning Virginia.
Rubio also has remained what I expected except for getting more endorsements that I expected such as from Santorum. Also, he is more stupid and juvenile unable to hide his tacky self.
Kasich is more clever than I thought and obviously wants to present himself as likable in contrast to the absurdity and vitriol from Rubio and Cruz.
Cruz is a disappointment. He was tied for first place with Trump. Then came his lies about Carson, his fake attacks on Trump such as about the KKK, his relationship with Beck (Beck seems almost in love with him), lack of experience, and questions about him being a nbc. I had expected him to have more delegates by now than he does.

Romney proved to be the biggest surprise to me and biggest loser of them all. I never liked him but did not expect him to be this dirty, back-stabbing, and parrot such stupid lies. To me, it is obvious he wants Hillary to win. He was also okay with Obama.

Now Romney is on warpath against Trump with the vitriol he never used against Obama and not against Hillary. He will do the same to Cruz should Cruz pull ahead.

The DNC would play ads over and over again where Trump calls Cruz a liar and whatever insults Cruz hurled Trump’s way. The bridges have been burned in my opinion.

Exactly. If Trump proposes Cruz for SCOTUS, the confirmation hearings would be nothing but the Dems playing Trump's "Cruz is a liar" theme like a broken record.
