"In no way, whatsoever, will Cruzers stand by and let the GOPe steal this nomination away from Trump in a Brokered Convention!"
All the answers to the VP question were on stage front-and-center at the post-Super Tuesday news conference.
I will be doing the same. I’m a Cruz supporter, but if Trump secures the nomination, he will certainly receive my vote. Queen Bitch must be kept out of the White House by all means.
Cruz will be Kryptonite to the Democrats...
"Why dont you just make Sanders the V.P. if youre not interested in FIGHTING for conservative values? Then you can win a ton of blue states."
Then as soon as Trump takes the oath of office, he turns to Bern, says "You're fired.", and then they swear in Ryan as VP. Trump says to Ryan, "Hey gym rat, sit down next to your new boss and shut up." pointing to an open chair next to Newt, who is wearing a big "WH Chief of Staff" button, and an even bigger smile. Newt is on the phone saying, "Tell Speaker-elect Jordan the First 100 Days Committee meets tomorrow 0630."
Cruz meanwhile is watching all this on CNN from a Holiday Inn near Fairfax, hunched over a laptop, his free complimentary breakfast roll untouched, and not having any success finding Inaugural Ball tix on Stubhub...
The first round ballots will go as pledged, which probably means undecided. After that, the delegates will be freed up to vote as they wish.
Assuming Trump and Cruz are the top two, I’m okay with the delegates settling on either one. That’s not cheating, just expressing their preferences. However, if Trump delegates vote Cruz, or vice versa, I’d be very annoyed at them. It should be settled by the delegates for 3rd place and below changing to one of the top two and not by Trump/Cruz delegates swapping from the one they pledged to his top rival, or worse, to an also-ran.
I want to know how Cruz turned out more voters in ME and KS than came out in 2012, when he is polling at 20-27%, then he is winning at 47%?
20 point surge in less than 24 hours?
Looks like playing along with the GOP gets you the votes. That’s for darned sure.
He is standing with the establishment. He’s establishment through and through.
I wouldn’t consider that as settling.
I had advocated, early on, for a Trump/Cruz ticket, but now I don’t think it would be a good fit. I’d rather, Trump win with whomever, as his V.P. and nominate Cruz for the Supreme Court or another cabinet position. Just another option and opinion.
Cruzers like to hang at least one of their hats on the thought, or fact, that Cruz is one of the most hated and feared men in DC.
That’s why no Freepers, no matter how devoted they are going to get to vote Cruz for President, or VP.
It isn’t whether of not he is NBC, it’s the certainty of a lawsuit engineered by those people who hate him.
I like the way you think!
As a Cruz supporter I hope any deals are made after the nomination goes to convention, but will support the nominee. Cruz must stay in to show the actual disdain for the way the establishment is ruining things
I like the way you think, too!
How can they kiss and make up, when one of them has booger breath?
I’m a Cruz supporter, with a sense of humor.
No flaming please.
Undecideds, Carson voters, some Rubio voters, all the above, perhaps?
Cruz supporter myself but I’ve said numerous times I’d vote for Turmp if he’s the nominee.
I’d also vote for a steaming pile of bear shxt over anything the left has to offer but what I won’t do is not vote because my candidate didn’t get the nomination and that attitude got us 4 more years of Obama and this shxt mess we’re in.
Exactly on point!
I would be fine with Trump/Cruz. That is probably the best outcome that Ted can expect. If Ted allows it to go to a brokered convention then he would be foolish...and he’s not.
"Hello? We're here to help - and we heard the GOPe tastes like haggis..."
Just that Trump has been saying over and over he doesn't believe that Cruz is eligible to be president. He's threatened to sue over it. How does he walk that back now and say, "I was just kidding when I said that?"
