Leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said Friday he wouldn't order the U.S. military to break international laws, addressing criticism from military and legal experts that his policies regarding torture and killing the family members of terrorists would violate the Geneva Convention.

I know that TRUMP will go after terrorists a lot better than ANYONE running for President. That’s all that matters.
All those ‘worried’ about any ‘Flip Flop’ issues regarding TRUMP’s commitment to protect this country, are either naive or have an ‘ax to grind’.
Name a conservative and/or limited government policy stance that Trump holds, that he has also not held the opposite view some time in the past.
E.G. Supports repealing ObamaCare, but previously supported single payer.

And it is going to be soooooo much fun.
In other words, just another day in the Trump campaign.

he never said he would violate international law.

Tearing off fingernails and electric shots and things that can cause permanent physical damage are torture.
Making someone very uncomfortable is not. AND it works as fast as actual torture
The Fourth Geneva Convention applies specifically to ununiformed civilians.

Yes indeed, people are sick and tired of the same old same ol’. Today they want deals and flexibility.
He said he wouldn’t violate international laws. That doesn’t mean he won’t be tougher than the others.
I can't stand the guy, but it looks like he's going to be the nominee. So it's far better than he gets attacked on these issues, gets informed, and then changes his opinion. If that happens enough, and he is forced to learn stuff because of the crapstorm that comes from his gaffes, maybe he'll morph into a guy that more of us can support in the fall.
Right now, I don't think I could pull the level for him. But I'm willing to consider that he'll become more educated on issues between now and the general, so I'll be able to vote for him with a clean(er) conscience.

The deliberate distortion of Trump's official position is obvious, and I am dismayed that he is taking the easy way out. Flip flopping politically has become a greater crime than clear treason and felonies!

As I understood it, his position was :
Not to allow the enemy which has no concept of the "Geneva conventions" or anything else remotely human, to set the rules of the vicious animalist war; to allow the Koranimal bloodthirsty terrorist leadership to take wife and kiddies everywhere with him effectively assuming to be invulnerable from attack.
If that is not addressed by the Geneva conventions, it damned well better be changed!
Where is the military and secular leadership on this?

His rate of flip flops increase daily. Imagine what will happen if he secures the Republican nomination. Flip flops to the middle. I hope he stays to the right of Hillary, but who really knows ?

OK so first he backtracks on what he said last night on H-1Bs and now he’s backtracking on what he said on torture. Next thing you know Trump’ll be calling them “Big Marco” and “Honest Ted”.
Fun and sad, very sad.
That's it. He gets people all riled up and when he points out an enemy. If there is one on the premises, like a protestor, he sets the death ray upon him. I saw the looks on the people surrounding the people who Trump calls out, and the looks on the Trumpsters faces was of hate. If they had been close to the guy they would have pounded his face in good.
Even the Bill Clinton calling for the marine to be ousted just recently, I did not see as much venom as I saw on that video of Trump.
Trump has a Yuge ego that much be stroked continually. And one of his tricks is to point to the enemy and get everyone else to show their fangs.
The last person who did this successfully was Adolph Hitler.
The difference between Trump and Cruz's rallies is one major thing: Trump is beefing up the boob bait and Ted talks pure substance.
