I don’t think this is a Freedom of Speech issue, threatening to kill a presidential candidate is a serious offense. Beck should, at the very least, be paid a visit by the Secret Service.

Obviously, after this statement, it would be dereliction of duty for the Secret Service to allow this pathological personality in the same room or on a sidewalk near anyone they are supposed to protect. Oswald or Hinkley never were quite so open about their thought processes.
