Buried Knife Found at O.J.'s Estate

A construction worker found a knife buried on the perimeter of the former O.J. Simpson estate ... and it's currently being tested by the LAPD in a top secret investigation ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The story is incredible. We're told a construction worker found the knife years ago -- we have heard several different stories, ranging from "several years ago" to 1998, when the house was demolished.

The weapon is a folding buck knife.

Our law enforcement sources say the construction worker took the knife to the street, where he saw an LAPD cop. He told the officer where he found the knife and the cop took it.

Turns out the cop -- who worked in the traffic division -- was off duty at the time, working security for a movie shoot at a house across the street on Rockingham. Our sources say the officer took the knife home and kept it ... kept it for years.

In late January of this year, after the cop retired from the LAPD, he contacted a friend who worked in LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division (RHD). The cop told the friend about the knife and said he was getting it framed to put on his wall. He wanted his friend to get the DR (Departmental Record) number for the Nicole Brown Simpson/Ronald Goldman murder case, which he planned on engraving in the frame.

1) Probably a BS story.
2) If not, so what?
3) Because, they can’t try OJ again.

I doubt a folding buck knife would have done what he did to Nicole.

While some onlookers joked that perhaps police might find new evidence in the rubble, the police officers on hand were there only to control traffic. Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Eduardo Sunes said police aren't concerned about the possibility of finding any new evidence. "What good would it be now?" Sunes said.

The scene was searched very soon after the crime. The burial of the knife would have left a distinct soil disturbance, so I don’t even know why they would have needed a metal detector. The only thing that does come to mind is that small alley behind Kato’s house where it appeared that someone had jumped the fence and made their way back into the compound. They found the bloody glove back there and the photographs showed a lot of leaves on the ground. Someone trying to conceal a small buried object would be able to cover it with the leaves. So, I think your point is still a good one. Alternatively, if they found evidence in that area, why didn’t they sweep the leaves away which would have exposed a burial?

The off-duty cop who held onto the knife "for years" probably had it slip his mind, what with the almost complete lack of publicity for the trial.

LAPD obviously needs to review their procedures as to who they give "Top Secret" clearances to.

" Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Eduardo Sunes said police aren't concerned about the possibility of finding any new evidence. "What good would it be now?" Sunes said."

Just more proof that people who make a living off other people's taxes do not require intelligence or ethics for a long and rewarding career.

Think about this if Simpson was sitting on death row. It would warrant a stay and hearing of evidence. Think about the rules of evidence. Government spokespersons are paid big bucks to say things. It should be a sliding compensation scale based on quality, not quantity.

This was only recently discovered in the FBI's review of Hillary's email server.

Can that cop be charged with obstruction of an official investigation?

Remember those to duffle bags Kardashian walked out of OJ's house with while the cops were there searching the property?

The bags were never seen again and the issue was never brought up.

Most crooked case ever!

Why would a local cop hide evidence like this>

Is race a factor?

Is the cop white? Black?

Depends on its size. But at this time it makes no difference one way or another. My guess is it probably is the ‘murder weapon’........................
