TRump: I just want to say, I agree with that 100 percent, except pre-existing conditions, I would absolutely get rid of Obamacare.

The whole purpose of "Obamacare" was to force insurance companies to cover everyone and specifically to cover pre-existing conditions. But that will not work economically unless everyone in the United States is forced onto the insurance roles. So how is Trump going to make sure that people who want to buy insurance after they come down with some prohibitively expensive chronic condition can get it unless he somehow either forces everyone into the pool or gives huge subsidies to Insurance Companies?

Just askin.

If people are healthy, insurance companies would compete to insure them.

If they aren’t, you either create a risk pool for them or have the government take care of this segment through expanded Medicaid/Medicare.

And the insurance companies would be happy with it because they aren’t forced to pay for some sick guy. They’re in business to make a profit.

They’ve talked about pools before.

Just askin. >>> many solutions one is health insurance becomes insurance. like your car. no oil changes covered. just when you get sick and go to hospital. that is insurance. two not an employee benefit like the socialists made under FDR. you pay for it you carry it and when you get sick they pay for it can’t cancel it. they actuarially handle the risk. number three now you can set up high risk pools. partly subsidized. this country is never going to go back to any rational financial system. when %90 of the population can’t spell it. when the government took over charities to handle these situations, that was the end of our republic.

Most of the erroneous costs of medical care are the result of rampant lawsuits.
