In order to defeat Donald Trump, The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol admits he is prepared to hand Hillary Clinton the Oval Office. On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” the Republican Establishment leader laid out his plot to deprive Trump of the 50% of delegates necessary to secure the nomination. From there, the idea is to go into a brokered convention and cut a kamikaze deal that awards enough delegates to an “acceptable” candidate (who will have won far fewer votes, states, and delegates than Trump).
The problem with the Establishment brokering a behind-closed-door deal that hands the nomination to a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% , is that the backlash against the Republican Party is almost certain to hand Hillary Clinton the presidency.
If a bunch of rich, angry GOP elites rob Trump supporters of their victory, the blowback will result in so many voters staying home in November, Hillary wins. As NBC’s Chuck Todd pointed out last night, at this point the delegate math is such that the only way to stop Trump is through this scheme at the convention.
As you’ll see below, that outcome is preferable to Kristol, and by extension it is safe to assume that outcome is also fine with the rest of the Republican Establishment.

If Trump is one vote short on the first ballot, all of the delegates can change their votes. So, the powers get in the back room and talk the other candidates into backing Romney. I doubt very seriously enough of the delegates will do what they’re told.
The powers need to learn to add. Trump and Cruz will have enough delegates to STOP them. Not the other way around.

Bill Kristol is not only a traitor to the Republican Party, he is a traitor to the United States. For him to prefer a habitual liar, criminal, and a radical leftist over an honest, patriotic, successful businessman, makes him and everyone who thinks like him in the Republican Party as much of an enemy to this country as the progressive liberals that have been running this nation into the ground for the last eight years.
Donald Trump has done more to expose what we have been up against than anyone alive. These so-called Republicans, who are Democrats in disguise, are the reason the parties have become indistinguishable. They are the reason the world is always first and the American people are always last. They are the reason we have a $21 trillion debt, 95 million people out of the workplace, 50 people in poverty, and have no respect from our allies and no fear from our enemies. In a nutshell, the current political party of globalists have and are destroying this once great nation. I wish to God every one of them could be tried for treason.

I see this story is up to 17,000 comments on Breitbart after only 10 hours! I’ve never seen anything like that. My guess is GOP got the message to dial things down a bit. Kristol’s trial balloon crashed like the Hindenburg.

I don’t see how the GOPe can steal the nom from Trump if he has the most delegates without sparking the end of the GOP. Not after this campaign. Not after we’ve been spit on by the GOPe. Trump will walk and half or more of the GOP base will go with him.
Hope this does not happen. If so, BIGGEST write in election ever.

We have control of both the Senate and House and IT DOES NOT MATTER. So why do they care what their false narrative about Trump causing negative effects down ticket.
Trump would only HELP Republicans down ticket. Trump is bringing out the Rep vote like never seen before. The enthusiasm for the Republicans is off the charts ONLY because of Trump.
And we already have control of both houses and it doesn't matter because our representatives do not do anything to further the conservative cause.

That is what this is about. Someone should really tally how many of these so called Rinos, both behind and in front of the camera that are trying to stop the front runner. Name them. Most likely then total amount of Trump haters is less than 500. Not counting people on the other campaigns.

Why do you think Bill Clinton urged Trump to get into the race? Do you suppose he did so because he shares conservative values? Well, I don’t think so. I think he wanted to run against him because they know how much Trump plays to the false narrative and caricature that they paint of conservatives. And he has played that part well. He reinforces all of the false images and bigotry about conservatives. So you're backing the same candidate that the Clintons want to win. That is, you're backing the guy who has funded them. The guy who has supported and funded baby-killing with his own money.
What is TOTALLY unacceptable is that theestablishment are WILLING to go AGAINST what the VOTERS want.
This is akin to the terrorists flying the planes into the towers to prove they would destroy themselves in order to destroy us.
