While I applaud Trump for using Democrats to build a lead... it all starts to come crashing down on Saturday.

Democrats don't get to pick our nominee in Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana and Maine.

Ted Cruz can win the south in the general. That’s about it. Talk about unlikable

Doesn’t that bode well for Trump’s ability to bring in cross over and independent votes?

I Love how they try to build a narrative from Cruz winning an extra 300 or so votes in Alaska. That’s your strategy for the general election?

Come Novemmber, the entire nation has an ‘open’ primary. I guess then that Cruz would lose if he were the nominee.

Ted Cruz would be a third consecutive designated loser, with the threat of a judge declaring him ineligible held over his head.

We are long past pretending that most judges make their decisions without interference from pols.

Yes because the North is a friendly bunch of people who are truly conservative. We should pander to the NE liberals some more like the GOPe does every year. Oh wait, that’s why we have Trump.

Cruz is following on Santorum’s footsteps, but doing worse.

Santorum won Alabama and Tennessee.

Cruz doesn’t have a path to win.

The problem is that he has not won a county in a couple of southern states.
The south was the firewall and that was lost.

FL is a closed primary and that is coming up and losing big and having only won 3 states which one of his own and a neighboring one and one caucus by a few hundred is not looking good.

I prefer Trump, I now doubt Cruz as a candidate but he’s ok. I will vote Rubio if I must.

But I don’t think Trump is on any glide path to the nomination. He’s really taking fire now from the republican refuseniks and his Duke thing was a mistake though I defend him he was ridiculed for that.

The pundits are always wrong I think they still are wrong and it’s a race now.

This could certainly be explained by the fact that reasonable Democrats fear Hillary and Bernie, so they would prefer Trump.

RE:”While I applaud Trump for using Democrats to build a lead..”

I am not impressed with that.

Clearly those Dems jumping open primaries believe that Trump is way more liberal than the most recent positions that he is taking.

In fact a couple of Dems here have told me they believe he is just lying about those positions. That he is pretty liberal and will work with Dems.

No doubt that Trump will win Maryland's GOP open primary , which picked Dole, McCain, Romney, Ehrlich,..

When the WAPO has to spin for Cruz, I begin to see a McLame candidate in their cross-hairs.
The next couple of weeks will thin the herd and turn out the deep pockets.

Hillary vs. Cruz would be a slam dunk for her. All she has to do is paint him as a religious crazy who hates women, and it’s a done deal.

Then Cruzers can gloat on their principles in the loss and blame it on America for not being True Conservative™ enough.

Obviously we don’t have enough voters in just GOP to win as we have seen the last 6 elections. We barely won 2000 and 2004. Trump will bring the Reagan democrats back which we desperately need.

On a side note, I listened to beck’s show this morning for about an hour and he sounded like a normal guy. Why is he such a freak on the campaign trail with Cruz? Weird!

If he Trump is bringing in more votes from non party then surely that would be a plus, so not sure why some are trying to down play this while Ted who I was with , but don’t know now if I will vote for him is not even winning a single county in some southern states.

Ted is not appealing to most and we need more than just conservatives to beat Clinton.

If they GOP wants to survive... they should nominate a Republican... not a life long Democrat.

Trump loves Code Pink & Planned Parenthood... and has apparently told the New York Times his entire campaign against illegals is a scam.
