Trump Drives Republican Turnout To Record, Democrats Lack Enthusiasm

Republicans continued to shatter turnout records in their presidential primaries and caucuses Tuesday, while Democrats lagged behind in what analysts said was a clear indication of an enthusiasm gap heading into the general election.

Virginia easily broke its GOP record of 664,000 votes from 2000, and was nearing the 1 million mark. That would be four times the turnout in 2012’s Republican primary.

So you are saying those democrats will vote republican if someone other than Trump wins the nomination? In a midterm, and state level? I’m not even going to start on the judiciary.

“Geez has Trump so divided us with his xenophobic rhetoric that now we have to attack anyone who isn’t a WASP.”

You got a problem with WASPs? Are all other folks okay except for WASPs that you see as some kind of problem? This country was pretty much founded by and grew rich and by leaps and bounds by WASPs. Our founding fathers were predominantly WASPs. The only thing you credit them for is instilling xenophobia?

Perhaps that’s because they are finally fighting back and saying okay all you other minority interest groups, we’ve had it with your PC baloney and your “only if you are a minority and/or preferably grew up poor do you have any worth. That disgusts me. I’m pro WASP, I’m pro them tooting their own horn for their great successes in building this country into a great nation. I look up to WASPs.

I’m part WASP, part Catholic background, German, French, and Irish. Maybe I should start a Mongrel Party for those that are blends. I am totally White, female, love men, and I’m proud of it. I’m so sick of this anti-White, anti-Capitalist, pro PC, pro having minority roots in order to be considered cool and part of the in-crowd. It’s sick.

The basis of one’s status in life should be merit, tempered by compassion for those less lucky in life’s lottery. That’s how this country was founded, a meritocracy, no more kings and queens for us. Let the best man win. It’s worked well for us, and a good deal of credit, in fact I maintain the most credit goes to those WASPs that you look down your nose at.

Democrat crossovers in open primaries voting from Trump, then back to vote for Clinton in November.

Not to mention a judiciary lost for a generation, and the lost governor offices and state legislatures that will turn blue. But hey as long as we teach the GOP a lesson in the primaries that’s all that counts right

Yes, that is all that counts. Without teaching the GOPe a lesson we get a judiciary lost for a generation and governor offices and state legislatures that make no difference whether red or blue.

What the last 10 years have shown is that the treachery of the GOPe must be stopped before there is any hope of opposing the Socialists and Communists that they protect in the interest of their own small sinecures.

understandable (except for old Bernie the Red of course) what do D voters have to be enthused about? Hillary the Liar and her MuslimBrotherhood girlfried? Biden the ‘natural heir’ who isn’t running?

I don’t think it will be as bloody as most think.

I predict he will attack Clinton, she will play the victim card, the GOPe and media will attack Trump for his “uncivil” behavior.

Clinton will be the damsel in distress and the media and the GOPe will be her knight in shining armor coming to slay Trump the Dragon.

The GOPe has stated over and over this week they would rather have Hillary as president than Trump, so watch them work towards that goal.

Except for in Virginia, where all of the liberal areas went for Rubio. Something is up.

I am very wary about reading anything into these participation numbers. If Democrats are staying home because they are unmotivated, it may very well be because they see Hillary as inevitable since the Super Delegate fix is in.

Come the fall, they WILL show up to vote for Hillary, unless the GOP can really destroy her base's morale. They might be chilling right now, but they are not destroyed by a long shot.

One of two things will happen before the general election:

1. Hillary will be indicted. Her candidacy is over.

2. Hillary will NOT be indicted, and Republican rage (and turnout) will soar.

The D's only have one option, which they are too stupid to grasp. They have to go with Bernie, which is most likely a losing proposition as well. But at least he's not despised like Hillary is.

Enthusiastic Democrats are voting in the GOP primary. As they did for McCain and Romney. And then they vote Rat in November.

Open primaries aren’t working.

Fine with me as long as he wins the deals. Every president from Washington to Reagan “did deals.” Don’t you wonder how the nation’s capital ended up in Virginia?

This is funny.

For the last several years, one of our sticking points with the GOP is their willingness to make deals with the left.

Now that Trump has said he’ll do the same, his fanbase is now ok with it.

Too funny. Boy the let downs are going to be legendary should he become CIC

“Those polls that claim Hillary easily beats Trump are hogwash”

You’re confusing the primary with the general.

The fact is, he is the most unpopular candidate running. His negatives are even higher than her’s. And if the election was held today, if the polls are correct, she would beat him

So he does have his work cut out for him from now till Nov. if he wants to win. What he needs to do is quit whining and threatening to sue every time someone says or writes something bad about him. If he doesn’t change how he’s conducted himself thus far, you’ll be saying Madam President
