Donald Trump on Monday did not refute a report claiming he told The New York Times editorial board in an off-the-record meeting that his immigration views are in fact more flexible than he has made them seem throughout his presidential campaign.
"Everything is negotiable," Trump said Monday on Fox News, responding to a question about whether the report, which undermines Trump's hardline stance on immigration, was accurate.

Trump has always said it’s a negotiation. Major difference with Trump is he starts by demanding everything, not by giving up half from the start.
With CRUbio all we’d get is a few extra drone fly overs.
Oh, for heaven’s sakes. “Everything is negotiable” means he’ll sit down and talk about how to implement his programs, and determine who’s on board.
Of course it does.
I will never, never understand why Romney wasn’t more popular on FR.
“Who knows.. Trump may be God sent.”
That’s true, or he could be another Ahnold.
That’s the problem - it’s a total crap shoot with Trump.
Much less so with Cruz if he can get elected.
Everything under the sun is negotiable, that is the way of the politician. Now, negotiable does not mean you will cave to the negotiation. Let us take your best example: Ending Obamacare.
Trump can say, "That is negotiable."
What he can MEAN is, Obamacare can stay, if "Obamacare" comes to mean a return to the old, pre-Obama system and a destruction of state-lines that caused the insurance problem to begin with.
When you are a politician, EVERYTHING is negotiable. It merely depends what your goals are, and how good a negotiator you are.
I actually believe that this 'leak' from the NYT was coordinated, by Trump, to signal the Elistist/Globalist party not to fear him. However, when he is in office, he might not be as much a pushover as they think.
We cannot know for sure what is truly happening in politics these days, except to know two thing: There is an Elitist/Globalist cabal that has seized control of both parties in America, and there is a probability that Trump is challenging that.
That is a roundabout way of saying there are no core principles that you are willing to stand on. And that describes Trump to a tee.
What he can MEAN is, Obamacare can stay, if "Obamacare" comes to mean a return to the old, pre-Obama system and a destruction of state-lines that caused the insurance problem to begin with.
That is not what he is saying. He says he will repeal and replace. How could he retain Obamacare without removing the mandates and the coverage for pre-existing conditions and the coverage for adult children and the minimums that the policies need to meet? Remove that and what's left?
Or is the negotiation that Obamacare can stay if, for example, the restriction on across state line insurance purposes is enacted? Tenth Amendment issues aside, and ignoring the fact that it would do nothing to reduce costs, where is that any better than Obamacare?
When you are a politician, EVERYTHING is negotiable. It merely depends what your goals are, and how good a negotiator you are.
And in the Obamacare case what would Trump's goal in negotiations be? Do we even know? He says he wants to replace it but does he really, since he has no coherent plan on what he would replace it with? Is Trump really serious? Or is he just throwing out whatever he thinks the people he's talking to want to hear?

I doubt. I think they know better than to trust him.
Enjoy Germany as the jihadists take over it.
Enjoy what happens tonight and in the morning.
GO TED GO!!!
GO TED GO!!!
That is exactly what I wasn't saying.
I cannot help you. I need to move on.
the reason that the GOPe won’t bring on a “conservative” of the old school is that for them nothing is negotiable. So they bring on liars like Ryan and Rubio and Boehner and their ilk. I’d rather have someone with core objectives and a willingness to negotiate toward those objectives.
If everything is negotiable then what is his core? What won't he compromise on?
I answer the door when solicitors come by with the cat on my shoulder and will look at the cat and then tell the solicitor, Jack says no. Sorry. Bye.
Isn't it amazing how many of the "real conservatives" have zero concept of negotiation. Good thing, they were not around when our fore fathers negotiated, argued, fought and yelled at each other with our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were being negotiated/hammered out.
They would have probably walked out and gone to Canada to serve King George again. Like their descendents who are voting for Clintoon in a snit fit.
After Donald Trump finishes doing all the liberal things he has promised: build the wall, deport illegals and Syrian invaders, cancel Obamas unconstitutional executive orders, roll back twenty years of intrusive government regulations, prosecute Hillary and her crew, release the secret 28 pages from the 9/11 report, negotiate prescription drug purchases, repeal and replace Obamacare, simplify the Tax code, repatriate $2.5 trillion in off-shore profits, stop the IRS from abridging the free speech of Christian Churches, reform the libel laws to remove the public figure distinctions, defund Planned Parenthood until the stop doing abortions, cleaning up the mess that is the VA, cutting waste, fraud and abuse where ever it is found, canceling Common Core and returning control of education to the States, end the assault on the Second Amendment, audit the Federal Reserve System, investigate the harmful additives in Vaccines and the coverup of studies at the CDC, and destroy the culture of Political Correctness, then we can talk about all those conservative issues you want to address.
But at least then there were certain principles that were non-negotiable. Apparently Trump doesn't have any of those.
I will not repost. Look closely at my original answer, I answered it all there.
The only people who dont negotiate are dictators or Obamas!
