If Joe Scarborough were ever, as some have claimed, in the the tank for Donald Trump, he has officially climbed out as of this morning. On today's Morning Joe, reacting to the clip of Jake Tapper's interview, Scarborough called Trump's refusal to forthrightly reject the support of Klansman David Duke "disqualifying."
A bit later, Joe and Mika Brzezinski said that if Trump fails today to clean up the situation, Chris Christie "cannot stay with Donald Trump's campaign."

Joe has been almost fair to republicans in past weeks, but the table started turning late last week, when discussion turned to encouraging Rubio to go after Trump at the debate.
Joe has probably been influenced by the Media gang of 8 to promote Rubio above others.
There is a new Gang of Eight that is out to stop or attack the Republican base.
It includes Rush, along with Megyn Kelly and some FOX and NR Chamber of Commerce

On Huckabee - I noticed only Huckabee pointed out the Sessions endorsement. Mika and Joe never mentioned it up until that point.
Perhaps the redundancy of harping on the David Duke thing was an effort to keep the news about the Sessions endorsement out of the conversation, among other things (mentioned on the thread).
Perhaps the effort was in keep it on the negative info about Trump in the news as opposed to the positive news about Trump.
BTW - on Fox and Friends I only heard Sessions mentioned once by Don Trump Jr., but I was switching channels.

This is almost as bad as arguing with liberals. Their mind is made up and facts are irrelevant. The excuses they use to explain away the gaff by their guy are nonsensical but they wont see it. I thought conservatives were better than this.

Absolutely correct. This is it. Trump’s 47%, war on women, etc. It will be: “Trump is a white supremacist”.
Sad to see so many conservatives rolling the red carpet out for Hillary. Cruz is DOA. Trump will win the nom. Then the GOPe will try to throw the election to Hillary. We already have a sitting GOP U. S. Senator threatening to go 3P. All they need to throw the election to Hillary is peel off some suburban votes in battleground states.
This is a time for choosing. Where do conservatives stand? Hillary or Trump?

LOL. I knew someone would attack the video because it was from media matters. Are you claiming it was edited? Are trump’s comments dubbed in to make him look bad? At least you didnt call me a troll.
And then he said he doesn’t know who David Duke is. Which is it? Does he forget what he says from one moment to another? It certainly seems that way, as it has occurred repeatedly this campaign season.
I just listened to it, kjam. He was not asked that question.
He was asked to disavow groups. KKK was not mentioned as a particular group. It simply was not.
He said he knew nothing of Duke, knew nothing of groups, and simply said, “you wouldn’t want me to disavow what I don’t know about, would you?”
They asked him to disavow groups that some defamation league didn’t like. He said he’d have to see the group. IOW, he doesn’t care if some defamation group liked by the media doesn’t like certain groups. The SPLC doesn’t like a lot of groups either. I don’t follow them at all.
This reeks of desperation.
Apparently, they want Trump to eat out of the media’s hand.
So like media matters do you prefer Hillary to Trump? Honest question.
Now you know that at times it is.
