Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), whose hard-line conservative stances on immigration and trade have made him a favorite of the partys base, endorsed Donald Trump's White House bid during a joint appearance here in his home state Sunday.
"Politicians have promised for 30 years to fix illegal immigration. Have they done it? Donald Trump will do it," Sessions said at the Madison City Schools Stadium, where thousands gathered to hear Trump speak. "I've told Donald Trump this isnt a campaign, this is a movement."

Cruz and Carson are the only conservative candidates left.
Trump and his supporters have denounced both good men as pathological liars.
Trump and his supporters have attacked Cruz and Carson with more venom than Bernie or Hillary. Theres a lesson there.

Really?
Yep, it took a “real conservative” to do the following:
1) Work with Paul Ryan to pass TPA
2) Voted for the Corker Iran Bill
3) Supported an increase in H1B Visas
4) Went to the Southern Border with Glenn Beck to pass out soccer balls and Teddy Bears to ILLEGALS
5) Engaged in slimy behavior in Iowa (sleazy mailers, lied about the Carson campaign leaving the primary)
Looking forward to hearing your excuses for Mr. Haney’s record as a U.S. Senator.
Conservative my a$$!
Carson is not a conservative. He just became a Republican last year.
He is also very shaky on RKBA.
Nice guy though.
It’s always good to fight and argue for what is right.
Trump supporters may at some future date realize him for the fraud he is.
Cruz is the right alternative.
I would love to see Cruz in the US Supreme Court via President Trump.
Wow.
It’s TPP KILL or BUST. Many seem to still believe we actually have the luxury of choosing a candidate that is presidential in temperament, doesn’t say bad words and drone on for 20 minutes about his chain of hotels. Sessions endorsed him to STOP TPP.
“I would dare say that anyone who vows to vote for Hillary before voting for Trump would have voted for Hillary anyway.”
I think you nailed it.
That would be icing on the cake ... one more that I would love to see in Trump’s world , would be Judge Andrew Napolitano as AG or SCOTUS nominee
Yes the judge I like that.
Well don’t then ... go vote for the Dim candidate and that way you can take solace in the fact that you didn’t vote for Trump ...
Ed
Get ready for President Hillary.
Yep. With these insane smears on Trump and his supporters by Cruzbio and the rest of the GOPe it seems they do prefer Hillary to Trump. Probably because their big donors are more comfortable with the TPP supporting Hildabeast.
Cruz actually said either he or Rubio would make a better president than Trump. Stop lying.
Cruz actually said either he or Rubio (amnesty and Obamatrade) would make a better president than Trump (no amnesty and no Obamatrade). Fixed it for you. If there was any doubt who butters Ted Cruz’s bread it was revealed in that quote. I’ll buy you a clue: it isn’t us.
Cruz enabled TPP with his support of Trade prompotion authority. There has been no vote on the TPP trade deal yet. They will pass it in the lame duck if anybody but Trump wins in November. Sadly, after today’s craziness I think they might just pass it even against POTUS-elect Trump’s advice.
“If Cruz actually got something done in the Senate instead of just talking about it, maybe he could have gotten the endorsement.”
By the same token, what has Sessions done extra in the same damn senate? It is hard to blame Cruz for “doing nothing” when he lead the fight against obola care and shut down the gubmint for a while. That was all he could have done. Rump has done diddly squat.
Oh, wait, Rump has given donations to Chuckie and others.
Interesting.
It says nothing about Sessions but everything about the posters who are dissing Sessions...
Ive led the fight
His “led the fight to defeat Go8” jazz is what probably cost him the Sessions endorsement.
If I was Ted Cruz, I would consider the fact that I am still only 44 years old and will have plenty of other chances to run for president. If I can drop out of the race and throw my support behind Trump, I will likely obtain a large and prominent role in his Administration, putting myself in good position not only to share in the success but to make a case to be his successor in either 2020 or 2024.
That bridge is burned. No going back after the #nevertrump and the KKK stuff. The Dems have all their attack ads for November already in the can thanks to Cruzbio and the rest of the GOPe.
