Well, Cruz has not made many friends in the Senate that would have to vote to confirm him.

Unless Democrats are voting for Rubio in open Primaries, Cruz will stay ahead of Rubio.

My BS alarm is clanging loudly.
There are many reasons to dismiss this rumor as false; but, one that I find sufficient is Cruz is far too smart to think Rubio’s kamikaze attack is going to land him the nomination.
The irony is that even if Rubio were to manage to diminish Trump (which I doubt), the votes would go to Cruz, not Rubio. You can bank on that.

Although I’d like to see Cruz on the court, I note that Trump has called him a liar on several occasions. It would be awkward (I think) to name a “liar” to the court.Trump has never been consistent about anything, so why would he start now?
