Just last week, a years-long tradition came to a screeching halt. "You want me to put it on Fox News," I asked my wife. "No," she replied. "I'm done with Fox News."
My job is to monitor the mainstream media, which is something that eats up about 14 hours of a day that begins at 6 a.m. when the cable morning shows begin. Lying next to me, my good sport of a wife suffers through about an hour of "Morning Joe," whatever they call that left-wing garbage fire on CNN, and the rest. Out of habit, before I head to my desk, without really asking I always ask, "You want me to put it on Fox?"
Fox News has a problem, and not just with my wife. According to a YouGov Brand Index survey, the perception of Fox News among Republicans has hit a three-year low, "has declined by approximately 50% since January of this year."
Basically, perception of Fox News has returned to those bad old Dick Morris days after President Obama won re-election. Much of the fall has come in the last few months. There is no question that this precipitous drop is the result of Fox's ongoing war with Donald Trump.
This might be a good time to tell you that my wife is not a Trump supporter. Her frustrations and disappointment in Fox News have nothing to do with her personal political preference. Like many, it is something much larger than that.

YET every single debate (if you can call them that) with a liberals will end with “You just repeat everything Faux News says.”
...even though...
I don’t own a TV. I don’t watch ANY news programs and have valid facts backing up all my assertions.
The problem with Fox is that they are supposed to be a conservative network. When people watch and see a different agenda, that is a turn off (pun intended). I watch CNN for news occasionally, I know what I’m getting. They are not pretenders.
O’Reilly certainly is in the tank for Tramp. They go to ballgames together. Bolling and Guilfoyle are open Tramp supporters. Many others are favorable to him.
Oh please, fox has been the Trump channel for months now. I can pretty much predict now what Trump will say when he goes on fox. When Rubio stumbled during one of the debates, every show covered it extensively, very extensively, to the point where I had to switch channels.
From what I’ve seen, FNC has given Trump more coverage than any other candidate. But I don’t watch Fox 24/7.
I don’t know what you are smoking but I can tell you it is real, real bad for your health.
O’Reilly has even given Trump tips on how to be more “presidential” and focused.
Yes, he sounds like a campaign advisor.
Hey, Donnie, do you plan to make Billo your press secretary?
“Fox News = The Marco Rubio PAC”
Well, with Hannity’s show last evening, it looks like they are an “equal opportunity” provider of free air time to Cruz as well. BTW, Mwgyn looks like a dyke with her new hairdo. We’ve switched to Lou Dobbs, the last of ther mohicans in the Fox stable. Maybe with his billions, Trump can found a network that won’t sell us out to the GOPe and the RATs every two years.
Rubio, Rubio, Rubio, wherefore art thou Rubio?
Quick, look over there. There he is, on Fox news.
Hate if for them. :)
You must not watch Fox all that much. All these months, it’s been Trump, Trump, Trump. He’s on Greta, he’s on O’reilly, he’s on Hannity, thank goodness I get a break from seeing him on Megyn’s show. When he’s not on, they’re reporting on his latest unpresidential antics. In fact, I just turned on the tv and there’s Trump again, they’re showing his rally, I played back the dvr, and the entire half hour I could playback was on the rally, forget it, had enough of that man.
Kevin I could not miss. For many years. Now he spends two hours whining about trump. Where’s THAT going?
Fox s base doesn’t want cheerleaders
Any network that employ’s.... a token, - like Megan Kelly; - is a network that I absolutely refuse to watch.......ever again. I don’t see how anyone could ever watch Fox News after their hideous, and personal attack, on the Trumpinator. FOX has an incurable problem; -it’s called lack of integrity!
It will be even better when President Trump holds his Presidential inauguration ball and Fox News is on the outside.....looking-in!! HA -HA -HA! What a Grand Ball that will be!
GO TRUMP! All-the-way-to-the——> WHITE HOUSE!!
I switched to NewsMax TV quite a while ago, especially after the Megyn Kelly-Donald Trump bloodletting ceremony...
Something Obama and Soros;s media matters couldn’t do
Yes — this sounds like me and most of my close friends. All you get is Trump and Rubio-gushing all the time (previously Jeb).
Yet from the beginning, Cruz has gotten blatantly ignored.
So we all only RARELY tune-in to FNC anymore. VERY rarely.
