Two months and two billion box office dollars later, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has reaped huge returns for Disney with its most progressive episode yet. Now that Daisy Ridley’s Rey and John Boyega’s Finn have given the Star Wars franchise its first female Jedi and black lead, respectively, does its fearless director J.J. Abrams see a future for a gay character in the galaxy?
“Of course!” Abrams said Thursday night at his Bad Robot HQ, where he hosted the US-Ireland Alliance’s annual Oscar Wilde Awards ahead of Sunday’s Oscars, where The Force Awakens is nominated in five categories. “When I talk about inclusivity it’s not excluding gay characters. It’s about inclusivity. So of course.”

it’s been a concerted effort from hollyweird for 30+ years now. the millennials have bought into it hook line and sinker. ask anyone 30 and under what % of the population is gay and you’ll get answers ranging from 25% to 33%. the real number is between 2% and 3%. if you try to tell them the real numbers, they’ll scoff at them and simply won’t be able to believe them. they have been brainwashed.

My cousin has several gay family members. He came at me out of the blue one day with this “nugget of wisdom”. People make the biggest mistake by linking gay people with sex. It has nothing to do with sex. I laughed so long and hard.... I had to throw that in there, that he went home to his “happy family”.
If you ever get close to a gay male ask him one more question after you get the “I knew I was gay since I was 8”. Ask them if that was the first time they had sexual contact. Followed by, how many boys did they have sex with under the age of 15. Once a male is “turned on” by another male, which is not all that hard to do when you are a young and dumb kid, it implants a response. It happens to many children that were molested. Homosexuals literally BREED future homosexuals.
I don’t mind if some of the characters are gay.
I mind if they feel I need to know that the characters are gay.

JJ is a complete HACK.
He ruined Star Trek, his earlier movies were mediocre at best.
Star Trek 2 was a crappy ripoff of of Wrath of Kahn and the latest Star Wars was a bland Star Wars 1: A New Hope remake.
Heard he is not directing but still producing the next one.
I’ll be watching the next one on TBS or maybe Netflix.

Why add gays to Star Wars. The only main romance interests are Princess Leia/Hans Solo and Luke skywalker/??? female
no reason for me to see Star Wars if gays are introduced. What does gay have to do with defeating the Dark forces....now I wish George Lucas was back in charge. He gets the Star Wars saga
There was a guy in First Contact—I think his name was something like “Hawk,” and I think he was played by Neal McDonough—who was intended to be gay, but the execs back then said no way. It’s all to appease the people working on the shows with no thought to what the audience might want, but Star Trek already has a built-in socialist bent (”In the future, we work for fulfilment, not money” from the aforementioned First Contact) that makes the audience demand more and more liberalism.
I was four when the first one came out, but I saw it in the theater. I was at the first showings for Empire, Jedi, Clones and Sith. I haven’t even seen Awakens. Besides being a hack, JJ is a bundler for Hillary. That might not have been enough to keep me away, but I just didn’t have any interest.
