Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshireâs primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the âentertainmentâ portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

Screaming? Facts are not insults.....but if you want to take it that way......what can I do.
“Trump just lost the south ...”
LOL! The good news is you will only need to wait 4 days to find out. Southerns prefer fighters like Trump and Christie over two big talking do nothing politicians like Cruzio.
I don’t know if it is an echo chamber effect by some freepers but to win a general election you need wide support - and that is not a Christie fat joke. Seriously, though - this idea that the win has to be with ideologically pure overtones is nonsense. Reagan would not have been elected if he relied on support from Republicans alone.
Christie might have been a second choice for many TRUMP Revolutionaries, IF there had been no TRUMP.
However, no one on the stage, but for TRUMP, has clean hands.
Name one and they were found pushing “pathways to legalization” for INVADERS, after the INVASION, and *for* quadrupling the HB1 Foreign Visas, and pushing votes *for* a North American Union (TPA) in Asia, eventually China.
Every.Single.One.
Except TRUMP.
Christie would make a great AG. Hope it happens.
That will help in the general. Thanks!
Who knows?
It helps put New Jersey in play. Republicans have choked on the electoral college for years. Christie wants any Republican instead of Hillary. He couldn’t exactly endorse Rubio, whom he eviscerated at the NH debate.
I thought Christie was hated around here, as much or more than Rubio? Now you have Giuliani and Christie backing Trump. This will really be a conservative regime, just to the left of the Bushes.
why? two northeast republican politicians.
weak on abortion, guns, and social conservatism.
it makes perfect sense.
You are so hilarious. Trump wins at least 8 or 9 states and maybe all of them Tuesday.
Cling to the Cruz playbook then. And when your candidate drops out, look in the mirror for why you failed.
I am thinking he is going to be the attack dog from a legal perspective on Hillary.
He is true blue now like Rudy. Whats next John McCain lol
Anyone who lives in NJ knows Christie is not exactly moderate; he is as conservative as we could hope for in a statewide office. He is anti-abortion, fights the teachers’ unions (the de facto owners of the Democratic Party), and vehemently anti-tax. Regardless of what others may think, he has all the right enemies - and his critics here should look at the company they are joining in attacking him.
Welcome aboard...
